KingGrowlKingGrowl Member UncommonPosts: 237

Woohoo Blizzard said that they are going to allow people to change their Talents, thats great because I was afraid of messing up my char.

Sorry Im just really excited that they changed there minds on this subject.

I hope they put a limit on the amount of times we can change them... similar to DAoC I guess (1 change at level 20 and another at 40).

If there was no limit, everyone would eventually have all the same talents and change them every week based on the FotM.

I don't mind them giving us a little leeway but I hope they don't over do it.

I think it'll probably cost a good deal of money, or require a quest to allow it or something.

Yea hopefully there will be some kind of a quest or money involved in changing your talents. Or maybe do it like planetside, and you can change one skill every day or something.

Yeah, it's nice that we'll have the ability to try something new if we get tired of what we first specced in.

I'm hoping for it to involve a quest.  This is especially good in such an ever changing environment since there's always the chance the path you took will just be absolutely flushed and then you're stuck having to remake.  While remaking can be fun, it can also be extremely tiring, and who really wants to remake over an ability the gaming company may have changed out from under you?

I think there should be no penalty for changing early on so you can find what u like, but when you reach like lvl 20 you should pay gold or have some other penalty attached

imho they should use the ao perk system tho with longer time for points.
Meaning that you can take back a talent point by removing a talent every x number of hours.
Im not sure of how many talent points a lvl 60 in wow got so i cant really say how long time it should take to replace a point. Blizzard should make this timeperiod so long that a full respeccing of talents would take longer than the normal period of a fotm, usually 1-2 months before they balance it (extremely unbalanced cases etc). The lesser fotms that usually last for a much longer period of time, like bonedancers in daoc (mostly for soloing purpose) is imo not hurting anyone and will be harder to avoid.

Unless it's been changed since the stress test you get 1 point for every level above (or at... cant remember) level 10.  So 49-50 points one you hit the top.

The Planetside approach is a good one in my oppinion. They could maybe have the one day restriction together with some small quest to be able to change your talents... ::::20::
