After the latest L2 update my virus scanner is reporting L2.exe as a trojan.
Is anyone else getting this or have an update on the issue?
Im using Avast, but I found some unofficial L2 forums where people were complaining about the same thing with other scanners....

It is not a trojan. It is an error with one of the files being replaced with different content but the same name, which makes your anti-virus think it is a Trojan. This once happened to me with WoW and AVG.
AVG thinks its a trojan also and stops it updating and running correctly AVG uninstalled
You can add the L2.exe to your exceptions list in the virus scanner which usually sorts it.
You can't define exceptions in many free virus scanners. But you can always switch or report the problem to the virus scanner developers and wait for them to fix it.
You'll get bigger problems with anti rootkit scanners and the likes because NcSoft chose two "protections" named game guard and Themida that use root kit techniques. Great software. Cause -_-loads of troubles and is unable to detect bots nor hacks or keyloggers. But it's marvelous at giving false alerts and killing applications like Firefox, Explorer and other normal programs.

I checked around and found that this issue was posted on the official Lineage 2 forums
boards.lineage2.com/showflat.php
Here is an insert that I copied and pasted from the official forum boards written by Rohirrim:
I searched around a little and found out that NOD32 flags L2.exe because it contains "Themida" (unless you have the latest update). It is used by NCSoft to hide some game processes, but the problem is that some viruses uses it to hide itself from windows and AV programs and that why it got flaged.
NOD32 is a very good anti-virus for detection rates and uses minimal resources (great for online gamers)..... I was very surprised about the false positive.
I know McAfee fixed the issue with their virus scanner. I believe the issue was over the weekend.
Do a check files to update any missing files that your virus scanner deleted.. should be good now.
