I won't simply because I've been gone for so long from the game. And had I stayed with the game, most likely we'd all be going to EQ2 as a guild.

Maybe it's just me, but I've never had a problem leaving a character. Leaving behind some of the friends I've made is a bit more difficult, and has probably led to me staying with a game I'm not having fun with, like SWG, for longer than I would have. Can't say I miss any of them terribly much. Not enough to keep up after I, or they've left, anyway.

Yes the thing is that i played for 3 years and never had a real guild or any friends lol. I think the reason was that sometimes i would play off and on because of computer problems and what not. I only got to level 40 over 3 years of playing off and on.

I'm in the same situation as Coldmeat since I haven't played EQ in years.  I remember my friends from then and I do miss them sometimes, but I have moved on.  I hope I meet them in some form in EQ2.

This topic sparked my interest because I've been missing MMORPGs in general.  My last one was FFXI but because of PlayOnline I can still keep in touch with friends I made there.  I'm waiting on EQ2 and I'm willing to wait as long as it takes for them to be ready to launch.

Just remember that you'll always have the memories you've made with those characters from EQ and when you create a new character in EQ2 you can make new memories, friends, and guildmates. image
