Are you guys aware ?

This is a general comment about a contest mmorpg is holding. The contest to give out accounts for EQ2 beta is a great contest, but I was hoping everyone is aware and has taken in account that sony just gave away THOUSANDS of beta accounts on oct 2nd. Those few beta accounts that mmorpg.com will be giving away are coveted at this point in time. I am here posting this in hopes that has been taken in account when giving them out. It would be a shame to see someone whom already recieved an account from sony on oct 2nd to also gain access to one from mmorpg. That account would lose is benefit (since it would more than likely be given away or sold), and would make another disappointed mmorpg fan. I myself was not fortunate to get one of the latest beta accounts and am still in hopes of benefitting from on at mmorpg.com. If possible I was curious if your database of beta accounts is tied in with Sony. That way there would be no risk of a duplicate account.

    Yeah, right... Sony will just go ahead and give MMORPG.COM access to its database...

    That's a good point - but unfortunately I doubt there is anyway to make sure the beta accounts dont go to someone who already has one.  EQ release isnt that far away however!

    Thats ALWAYS a risk when having any beta giveaway contest. I knew of someone who got 5 WoW beta 1 accounts, and sold 4 of them for over $500 each on ebay. Talk about having a good day.
