Case as in the tower that holds the CPU. You know the place where all the disk drives and stuff are. I'd like to get a nice looking one that wont break easily and has some room for me to hook up the things I want.

Well I want to build a excellent computer so I'm gonna set aside 2,000 bucks for building it. I might go over that if its worth it.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'm gonna check everyone of them out.

A lot of cases will work for you. There are a plethora of sites out there that you can use to browse for cases. Pick one with the design aesthetics you like because more than likely it will fit your purposes.

As to a monitor, I hear Samsung is a good brand. I've also had people recommend Dell to me, surprisingly enough, but they're typically more expensive. Monitors have a range of features and specs, so you'll have to decide how much money you want to spend, and what features you want and see what you can get. Take the time to search through monitor selections at places like newegg.com or tigerdirect.com.
