I am extremley excited for this, they said they will give it new content.
and my prediction is they'll actually do alot of work with this and perhaps treat this like the sequel to RO.
But a few concerns; The controls might be hard..espicially for competitive play. But they might pull it off, im not sure. I don't own a DS (Yet that is..) so I can't really put down any judgment.
And it may take a looong time for RODS to be released to the U.S.
The number of U.S players for RO is dramaticly decreasing (I havent had an account for about a year now.) So gravity may look at it as being useless to release to the U.S.
Interesting how the first hoaxed pictures of Ragnarok running on the DS weren't all that far from the truth, even if they were a hoax.
That said, this isn't a way to connect to Ragnarok Online on your DS, it's a DS game based off the same franchise. It's important to make that distinction.
That gets me very excited, and it better be released in the US... Yes, the number of people on iRO (the international/American server) has decreased greatly (it saddens me everytime I decide to go on to play on a free trial... it's not worth it when you have no one to play with). I do love the game to pieces though, and would be greatly excited if it came to DS... going Full Support Priest like I usually do sounds like it might be a bit harder though >.<
WoW: Qcow - lvl 25 Tauren Hunter - Kael'Thas server
Someone made RO work on the DS online through modifying a bot program. I am sure there will be versions in the future that modify this game to work online.
I think it would be great if they can find a way to develop online games for handheld systems. That RO looks pretty nice. I don't think we'll see it on this generation of handhelds... maybe next generation perhaps.
