Leveling Mercenaries

SlappanSlappan Member Posts: 289

For those people who recieve new mercenaries, what strategies do you use to level them up quickly? The problem with new mercenaries is that they miss a lot and can't deliver the deathblow. I heard that partying up has added benefits, including your mercenaries leveling quickly. This is another possible incentive to participating in the community and creating parties.

Tanks and healers tend to lag behind dps in terms of levels, so this can be a problem once you hit the higher levels.

Well I have no problem levelign a healer/shaman. I just put them beying my swordsmen and let my mercs take hits while my shaman heals, they gain a TON of exp just by healing

I think tanks are the hardest to level, since they don't pack as much punch as dps, so they usually don't do killing blows. The slow ones are especially annoying since you have to wait for their turn to attack. I do agree that healing also gives good experience, however I still let them kill off injured enemies as often as possible, since it gives larger experience than plain healing.

In my opinion, the princess mercs are the hardest to level LOL because of their skills, I think that they're the hardest to level in the game and pretty much I think they're the weakest mercs in terms of usefulness in the battle. Their skills aren't that much impressive either.

tanks will be the hardest mercs to gain experience with from low levels. you still have to consider their amount of HP and equipments to endure those attacks from monsters. rangers will have not problem with these since they are barely touched from enemies. they will gain experience in no time. if you want to level healers, try to heal your partymates. It will give them at least 33 experience points per division of damage against their healing amount. this is useful for leveling up healers at early levels.

Low level tank mercs are hard to level up. They do little damage and may not even tank for your team yet. What I do is I let my low level merc do last hits. Last hits gives tons of Xp.

My strategy is to put them at the back formation and then cast brutal will on them, in order for them to miss their attack.. and i ll use the "Last Hit" strategy...
