To save gold, use crafting to create various items. The raw materials are much cheaper than the item itself. You may earn tons of gold by doing this. It also levels you crafting skill.

i'm with you, well, half of it. having a +5 rings is not a thing to kid. its a blessing for those who created it luckily. i, myself only reached like, +4 sword, and its not even a marketable item yet. fair requirements only brings to fair items. talking about beginners.
i found quest items to be available in market for a fixed and low price, abuse it if necessary.
