The Old Timers Guild
What are we all about, you might wonder?
We are a guild of mature gamers who have bonded together to seek out two things we are all passionate about...Fun and Gaming. We believe that on-line gaming doesn't have to be solely about the game or the uber-loot. We believe that part of the allure comes in the camaraderie and social interaction one can only find in a group of like minded individuals.
While starting out, it was quickly decided that a more mature group of gamers is what was missing in the MMO world. It was thought that it would be nice to have a group of peers to enjoy the game with. Peers that were of the same mind set. We are not hardcore raiders and we are not power grinders. We believe in the journey not the destination.
What can be expected when being a member?
In OTG you will find a community of mature gaming fans looking to have some fun and enjoy an escape from daily life. Most of us have family and work obligations. Some of us have kids that are older than what many consider to be the “typical gamer”. Our roster ranges from students to graduates, Mothers and Fathers to yes even Grandparents (and a few Great Grandparents) all brought together to unite in one common goal that has become our motto: Laid Back, Not Too Serious, No Drama, All About The Fun!
How large is The Old Timer's Guild?
We have a solid member-base of over 6,600 players that we've fielded in dozens of games in the past years, and the number is always growing. We are the ones who can field over 800 members in the first days of MMOs. And it was finally decided that we would take our passion and love for gaming to Darkfall! It's time to get off our lawn!
Would that just make you a zerg?
With experience comes excellence! Despite our growing number, we are not a "zerg". We take care of maintaining our respectful image, ensuring a member-base filled with mature quality players who are respected and trusted to act as representatives of the clan.
General Information
Our clan is intended for older individuals (25+), however we can be flexible and make exceptions for folks that show a great deal of promise.
We have a focus on having fun! This is intended to be, and has been, a DRAMA FREE clan, and we hope to keep it that way. Leave it at the door, and come in to have fun!
There is light leadership, but little room for politics or bureaucracy. We are all here to enjoy ourselves, and respect is to be expected for even the newest of members.
We are a Light RP clan, with no strict rules. RP is encouraged, but not demanded.
What races are you accepting?
We will currently be open to Humans/Dwarves/Mirdain. However, with the large number of members available, there remains the possibility of one day recruiting for Orks/Mahirim/Alfar for a sister Chapter to be made. So all are welcome, and we would be honored to have you.
Interested in joining?
Come and register on our forums! We have not yet begun an individual recruitment process for this game yet, but will be provided in the near future. You can find our forums located HERE. Register and make an introduction stating where you came from, and we'd be happy to have you.
Thank you for your interest, and I hope to see you with us!

Very nice and well organized post to promote your guild.
I already have my guild watching DF like a hawk, but i do have a curios question for you.
Can you say what games you guys were in in the past? and on what servers? My guild has also spanned many games and the name is new to me.
Thanks

"If people were dismissing it, then they wouldn't be talking about it. The well-meaning gamers root for efforts that try to raise the bar. So who's left? It's so easy being a skeptic." -Tasos
Holy shit that's a big guild.
it says not a zerg guild, but I am sorry any massive guild is a zerg guild. I have never felt my importance to a guild in any massive guild that I have been in. I like to feel that I am of some importance to a guild , not a replacable peice or even worse a pawn.
Dont know how you guys handel your stuff, not trying to hate on you guys, just my opinon of any massive guild.
Waiting for:EQ-Next, ArcheAge (not so much anymore)
Now Playing: N/A
Worst MMO: FFXIV
Favorite MMO: FFXI
Eh, the list is very long hehe. It would be best to go to the forums and check all the different forums. We're pretty much everywhere.

A guild is what you make of it, regardless of the size.

Played with/against a few of these guys in shadowbane, they were quite good.. a bit loudmouthed and american like on the ventrilo server.... but quite good.
The core principles and quality of the original post are promising, yet the immense size of the guild is staggering. As a 37 y/o former military sergeant, I like the sound of your guild as a whole. Personally I wound't mind the numbers as long as the pvp in game is about quality and not quantity. Many that I've played with in the past were of similar mindset. Shadowbane has been my all time favorites mmorpg and Darkfall seems promising. I'll take a look at your forums an apply within the week if I am unable to reunite with my old friends.
Always good to see OTG, you guys really have to stop following me from each MMO to the next
