Bonus EXP weekend 2xExp question

Can anyone confirm that the weekend for SoE would start Friday morning patch or Friday 11:59 pm.
I just wanna know if my Friday night will be spent power leveling or raiding

Geez, why don't they just start everyone at max level already. Can it get any easier?
Who asked you WHAT your opinion about ANYTHING was?? He asked a simple question about the start time of the 2x exp and not only did you not help him in any way, shape or form but you post a completely off topic rant that had absolutely nohing to do with the question he asked. If your not going to help then don't post at all!!! And don't start with that nonsense about your entitled to your opinion, yes you certainly are, but only where your opinion is actually part of the subject of the POST!!!!
I'm sorry I'm unable to help you as I am posting this after the event has passed but I just couldn't let this one pass by without saying something.
Well if you look at the second guy's other posts, he/she mainly gets on MMORPG.COM to talk about politics. LOL!
If you can't appreciate the fact that SOE traditionally nerfs their games all the time (like it is a big secret or something) then go play a different game, there are a ton of them out there. If you think that removing some of the boring grind part of a game is making it easy then go play L2 or any one of the trillion cookie cutter Asian grinders on the market today.
Some of us have real world lives and it is nice being able to make progress in a game and still being able to have a life. That is why they have rested XP. If you want to play long hours every day then you will progress along on single XP and if you just play a few days you will be on double xp or you can even turn the XP off if you want to wait for a friend to catch up.
The goal of playing a game is to have fun. Hard does not equal fun. Challenge is what you want and the challenge is still in the game. Getting to end game is still there, they just took out some of the boring repetion. So now you have to kill a few less mobs to get to the end. They were not the reason you played in the first place. If you want to make the game longer then why not just stop once an hour and write "I killed a mob" on a piece of paper a 1000 times and then resume gameplay. It will make it harder but won't change the game a bit in content and maybe it will restore what you truly signed up to do in the first place.

What surpizes me in this day and that MMO companys dont sell maxed out toons..i'm sure there'd be a market for it
they did this last weekend, i hope they do it again this weekend as i have several friends that came back and would like to get them somewhere lvl'ed past the stuff ive done a million times already so it will be fun hanging with them instead of yawning thinking here we go again into stormhold for 8 lvls.
