He meant he's not going to change the way he puts forward idea's like he did in the senate and his principles. I'm not even native English speaking, nor am I from the US and even I understood what he meant. You are completely using his sentence out of context. Very weak shot, sorry.
You fail to understand that Obama has stated numerous times he wants to stray away from the static ideals and principles of Washington, D.C. That does include Mr. Biden.

The question was about their experience and if they would change the way they personally did things.
He answered he has been doing his job in the senate for so many years that he will continue to be the way he is, namely putting forward propositions and work and implement them.
I can see what he meant from across the Atlantic, if you can't, then you are ridiculously biased or unwilling to give credit where it's due. His answer was really good.
I can only conclude you are a republican by your sig and are not gonna admit he was right no matter what. But any person with some intelligence knows exactly what he was talking about and that had nothing to do with what the OP is suggesting.

So, McCain's camp can take criticism for his philosophy, but not Obama - especially when his running mate states something completely conflicting?

He also said he would be the point man for policies in the senate, then next question tried to define the vp as someone who has no involvement with the senate as a executive brancher. can't have it both ways now. edited slightly for clarity
I think Obama's choice of Biden was a big mistake, and I think it could cost him the election.
You must have missed the news that McCain pulled out of Michigan today. Michigan was one of those swing states that has a large contingent of Reagan Democrats.
The Michigan Republican Party is shocked at that decision.
Yeah I caught his little quirk too. Like someone said if he can't change himself from within what chance do you have with bringing that to millions of people? Since people judge the quirks and mannerisms more than they did the issues I think that hurt Biden.

I never said he shouldn't get credit for what he has done. This is nothing against Biden, but against Obama. Obama is trying to embrace this idea of breaking away from "old school Washington thinking", but he doesn't realize he has choosen a candidate that has done some good things with that old school mentality.
And no, just because I support the fair tax, which you know nothing about, does not mean I am a Republican. I am an independent conservative.
Obama's not change. he is going to persue the same failed policies the republicrats have been persuing since Roosevelt. Government will get bigger, liberty will get smaller.
The same thing will happen with McCain. If you want change, vote for Barr. Only Barr is advocating change.
Is the OP serious? Why make such ridiculous threads? I guess you saw the recent polls.

And yeah At least Biden has put forth bills and Ideas to Congress. Obama has been on his Presidental campain from day one.
Of the two I have far more respect for Biden than i could ever have for Obama.

Biden is a horrible Senator and a really nice guy.
If the public reviews his voting record, it will SCREAM: Pro-establishment.

I just found it funny that he isn't open to change how he acts, but he wants to change the way America acts.
