I'm having trouble finding game features on the war site or anywhere else for that matter, so I come here to ask: What's te game like? The most important feature to me would probably be crafting.
Comments
If Crafting is most important to you... find a different game.
I will not play a game with a cash shop ever again. A dev job should be to make the game better not make me pay so it sucks less.
If you want crafting look somewhere else. This game has the worst crafting of any game I've ever played, and I've tried them all. That said, I am having a lot of fun in Warhammer. It is PvP focused, which I usually hate, but this game makes PvP so accesible and casual it is a blast.
I dont know what game you did play already, but WAR doesnt offer really that much exciting crafting. Even WoW did offer more reasons for crafting. Still crafting exist and is a part of WAR but if you ask higher lvl players they will tell you that you dont even need to craft to succed in the game.
You can craft pots or medaillons, you can plant crops or gain other ressources out of armor parts and stuff.

but hey..just use google for more informations
Its about solo PvE and solo PvP, the crafting part is really really small
If you are into crafting, stay way away from WAR.I suggest EQ2,Vanguard,EVE, or Pirates of the Burning Sea for crafting.
WAR is about solo PVP
I play a lot of games...
its like good food you were lacking and your body screams for it. you eat that kinda food for 2 weeks. till your body is filled with the minerals food gives you. and then you say. eww no more of that..
its like that..
apart cooking food is more fun and enjoyable than overcomming gamebreaking things in this game
( i did quit game.. my opinion is biased obviously , but i did quit for a reason )
Do you like arcade games?
WAR is for those who intend on playing Destruction. If you want to be the good guys stay away, because you will get trounced. It's also for those who like pvp, as the pve is rather bland.
WAR is boring and well... Pointless.
Tried: LotR, CoH, AoC, WAR, Jumpgate Classic
Played: SWG, Guild Wars, WoW
Playing: Eve Online, Counter-strike
Loved: Star Wars Galaxies
Waiting for: Earthrise, Guild Wars 2, anything sandbox.
All MMOs are really quite pointless if you think about it...
Most games are pointless, but not all. I wouldn't call Eve pointless since things you do directly effect the univers. But yes, most games are pointless, another flaw with the current MMO's.

It is the best "classic" big old MMORPG out there. Hands down and no questions asked. Huge world and massive amounts of content and lore, excellent classes and combat, especially PvP, very well polished for a new release and expansions that are already planned and on the way.
However it does have some flaws... the biggest being that instanced scenario BGs are currently taking away players from world RvR which is touted as the most impressive feature of the game. The second is that there is a certain percentage of high-end machines that experience weird technical bugs but that is being slowly phased out by each new update.
As for crafting.... it's quite fun and the mechanics are somewhat original but it is not the focus of the game by far. It is very probably they'll beef it up in the future but at the moment it is a side-dish at best.
If you like crafting because of the social component then WAR has a lot of potential for you. Guild leveling, alliances, strong emphasis on group content etc. However for that you need a really good guild... and a good server - I recommend RP servers for that. If you're entering the game on your own right now you might find yourself sorely disappointed - there hasn't been enough time yet for real community to form. On the other hand, if you have a pre-existing guild coming along then you'll have a ball.
Warhammer very glitchy sometimes, and as for lag. out of no where you can get hit with a hugh lag spike that could freeze up your computer. apperently none of the people ever talk , and despite the banhammer you still have people sending you tells about their their sites for gold or power leveling,
the healers dont heal, the tanks dont tank, and the casters just sit next to a flag all day in scenieros leeching off of everyone eles with a tiny nuke here and there, some of the classes were not finished yet on release so they are "working on them " for the time being, you still have to grind for lvls to get good gear in pq's
but other then that its the best mmorpg i have played since guild wars.,
im just waiting for all the things that the game is going to be getting over the next few months , like battlegrounds and classes and armor, and ect.
War is hell son.... War is hell.
Critical thinking is a desire to seek, patience to doubt, fondness to meditate, slowness to assert, readiness to consider, carefulness to dispose and set in order; and hatred for every kind of imposture.
Crafting sucks in War thats a shame because it has alot of ingame craft items, i think the biggest let down is you can't make your own armor and weapons that blows, dissappointing
man why do I keep hearing this, i play order and we win 50% of the time if not more????????
Thanks for the relies guys, I guess I'm waiting for Darkfall.
Your loss... Wait for a few months to see what's the game like then. No one's seen endgame yet so it's hard to assess... The game has the potential to be a real living world with players actually governing its state. The whole game area at top level is pretty much contestable with new PvE and PvP content opening up through concentrated player action. However, it all hinges on endgame at T4 and that's a mystery right now. We'll see how it turns out.

Destruction took out altdorf already, if that isnt end game enough for you i dont know what is.
Have you ever ran Warsong Gultch or Arathi Basin? Imagine doing those scenarios over and over again as if it were the only way to level up.
WAR is a big scenario or BG grind.

Nope. We'll see the final state of the game only when population distribution stabilizes.
If a bunch of powerlevelers did manage to attack and take Altdorf at city rank 2 (lol, even the emperor is not around at rank 2) while no one else is there to confront them then all the power to them, however...
We won't be able to assess the endgame until the game population reaches a stable state - i.e the majority of players reach T4.
This is not a raiding PvE game where you can be the first to kill that final boss in exactly the same fashion whether you're playing on the server all alone or not - this is a RvR game where "content" is heavily dependent on other players. If there are no enemy players around yet then this is not indicative of the game at all.
That's like saying you "won" COD4 and seen all it has to offer because you played a map all alone and the game pronounced you the winner.

Oh yes. Some random french guy hit cap level in WoW after some days.
But you might say, my friend: "But he didn't do all high-end raids." Guess what? They didn't on WAR either.
