Oh, Mercenary... Where are you???

Ok, so far so good with Atlantica Online. lol

Another question i would like to bring up is regarding mercenaries.

My inquiry regarding this topic is with the class c mercenaries and special mercenaries.

How do i get them? What are the quests and even requirements i need.

As of now, i have class d for mercenaries and would like to know more about c classes to make my party a lot stronger.

What are the pros and cons for changing mercenaries?

Hehe, i know these are a lot of questions but please do answer them. I really would want to be able to move forward anf somehow do more things(exciting new ones) ingame.

hmm. don't you need ashen crystals to level-up? i'm also still with my class d mercenaries. haha.

Not exactly sure what you're talking about. If you're just asking how to upgrade your current mercenaries to their next class, just wait till level 20 and all you have to do is collect a certain amount of ashen crystals.

If you're asking about how to obtain other mercs (such as exorcist, with, spartan etc.), then you need to do quests to unlock them. If you look in the mercenary section of "game info" it'll tell you where the quests for each one are.

K the earliest C class merc is the beast trainer, you can get the quest at 44 I think. it takes awhile to get but is well worth it. the downside to getting these mercs is that they start at lvl 1 so they will be weak for awhile till they catch up to your mains, my main is now lvl 54 and my beast trainer is 45 and is just now starting to own. the next class C is the witch, you can get the quest at 51, my witch is only lvl 21 atm so is still very weak. after that i think excorcist is like 57 and a bunch of others after that, the best thing to do is look thru all the mercs and find out what you want your line-up to be like. also when free league pops up, click list. find some of the high rank players (like 1-12) watch their strats and setups and find out what you wanna do at higher lvls and plan for that. my current setup is

Sword-Viking-Beast Trainer

Sword(M)-Artilleryman-Archer

Shaman-Witch-Monk

but i will be picking up an excorsist, a spartan and maybe an inventor at higher lvls.

wow i cant believe there will eventually be spartans and exorcists... now this inspired me to level up moy character faster... but does anyone know the highest title to the classes and if so at what level would they actually be attainable?

in game at the top of your screen there should be a drop down buttong under "game info" called "Mercenaries" click on that and you will see a list of all the mercs, what they look like upgraded what lvl and items they require to upgrade and also in their description you can see what lvl you can start the quest to get them. along with stats and other useful info.

Isee. I was guessing that you had another or sword or spearman in that place where your beast trainer is. I've got something like Sword-Vik-Spear Right now, but I'm planning on adding another spearman in the second line. So is it better to just maintain my Spear over there or just get a Beast Trainer?

beast trainer has higher defense and more HP then a spear, and it attacks the same way a viking does and also has beast summon skill which hits all 9 of your enemies. overall i would take a beast trainer over a spear. but beast trainers cost alot more to upgrade.I currently have a lvl 52 spear in my merc room that i swap out my witch for during boss fights (my witch being lvl 25 is very weak) Spears don't make the best frontline mercs but theycan hold their own, I like them in second row as kind of a backup tank.

Princess - Lvl 63 Quest

Prophet - Lvl 70 Quest

Oracle - Lvl 76 Quest

Inventory - Lvl 84 Quest

Cannoneer - Lvl 87 Quest

Lady Knight - Lvl 95 Quest

Spartan - Lvl 100 Quest, requires Lady Knight, Exorcist and Beast Trainer marble

Yeah.. slappan you got it right... lower class of mercenary lik swordy, viking etc can be acquired in quest or when you bump him during your travel while hi class mercs can only attained thru quest... i dont know if theres a npc that sells those class of mercs

Well from what I've seen every C class merc can only be acquired via questing. The ones that walk around are D class I think. Even though its such a pain to gain the C class mercs, chances are they're worth the dig. Or do you want to see D class mercs for the rest of your life? LOL

C class is well worth it, today i upgraded my witch so her meteor hits 9 monsters and oh boy does it own. she's lvl 47 atm and 1 meteor can drop 9 lvl 60 monsters to half health.

Keeps Upgrades the Mercs the better the Team goes. Stack yourself with Reinforcement Scroll when you in Dungeon, very handy. It is good against 3mobs on you.

Now I want the witch too. I guess I have to let go of my good ol' extra shaman. And it looks like it flies. Guess swords can't hit her. The only problem with gaining them level is the quests. I hear they're quite troublesome.

I haven't tested the reinforcement scrolls yet on shadow dungeon mobs. And three mobs against you sucks. I die almost everytime, or I just run. *sigh*
