Option To Instantly Reach Level Cap A Month Before Expansions?

I would like to see the option of being able to make your character reach it's level cap a month before an expansion comes out, but only if you are at least over half the way to level cap, for example:

I really want to play The Mines Of Moria, i'm currently level 38 in LOTRO, and i really can't be bothered to level up the last 12 levels, just to be able to play the game. If i don't get to level 50 before it comes, out, i think i'll just quit and not bother with the expansion. It's a good game and all but whats the point of reaching the level cap now, i won't have time to enjoy the end game at level 50. MOM is out in about 4 weeks, it's going to take me that to level the last 12 levels. :(

Maybe all MMOs could do this?

If you're not enjoying the gameplay enough to actually play it at 38, why would being 50 change that?

Well, the quest design in LOTRO is very uneven. Some parts are really fun, but the 30s they seemed to have forgotten about, and is full of a bunch of mind-numbingly dull stuff. (It's supposed to get better once you hit the 40s, but the 30s are a slog)

You can pump out 12 levels in 12 days or less. I swear to you that you can easily level once per day even solo. The only levels that may take longer are 46-50.

If your intention is to whip thru content I'll give you some hints. Don't stop for crafting or harvesting. Don't stand around and chat, be grinding something during. If you have a goal you just have to be steadfast in it. Don't be afraid to look up the quest objective locations online if you are having trouble finding something. Wasting 1/2 hr running around solves little when it comes to time. Oh and stop grinding your traits if you are stopping for virtue traits. Yes, you could do them now but you can also do them max lvl when you're much stronger. The xp gain is not really worth the effort unless you were doing it on all rested exp. If you find a good group milk it for all its worth. I once found one and we got 5 levels in one day.

Also, don't do a quest and run back to turn in unless it's a kill quest. More than likely you are just wasting time since you could turn in many more at once and make one trip. The reason I exclude a kill quest is usually there is a follow-up to kill the "king of that mob" after you take out some underlings. Also, put it on auto loot and don't even glance at the loot unless your bags are full, that also is more surprising than staring at each individual piece. This way you can take one pause to clean and organize, mail/barter instead of stopping at each kill to check what you got

Your goal of being max level at the expansion is actually more exciting than the ppl already lvld that are just waiting. If you don't believe me, look at how many ppl have alts running around even now.

Myself I have 2 over 40 that I am trying to get 50 pre-expansion. I believe that's attainable but keep in mind I know some of the quest locations from doing them before and an idea what "group" ones that I can pull off solo.

Since the moria content is going to be 45-50 or just flat 50+, be sure you have found a kin that groups with you. Come expansion you are going to want someone to be buddies with to get group quests conquered.

Why would you want that? The game ends soon after you hit level 50 (IMO). Only thing left to do is grind traits or grind rift for better gear that will be obsolete when expansion goes live.

serious ey,  whats wrong the MMO players these days? I remember when playing MMO wasn't about "OMG PHAT LEWTZ AND ENDGAME" but actuallu ENJOYING, there I said it, ENJOYING! the journey to the level cap. By doing questes, and dungeons and exploring and socialising...

This article is very interesting but for my sake I am very surprised to see that so many ppl play games only to get to max level and seem to forget all about the pleasure of doing quests, exploring the environment, having fun chatting and socializing and just in general enjoy the game .

I recently started playing LastChaos and as that is my first sword and magic game ever it is something very new to me and immensely fun to do. I love killing monsters left and right, leveling slowly but surely and getting access to better armor and swords as I get more gold and have fun learning skills both general active ones and passives ones. There are lot of good people in there that like to gather for party bashing monsters and sharing info on how to play effectively. For me to play MMO of this and any kind is about fun and should not in any way become a JOB :)
