My Review...

Well I have to admit I was pretty excited about this game. I was in Closed Beta and Open Beta. I have been playing ever since this game came out. I have canceled my account today. So I decided to post my review.

Community - 2/10: One of the worst communities I have experienced in an MMO (I have played quite a few). Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, talks. Ever. I once went three days without ever seeing someone talk. This all means that there is no god damn strategy what-so-ever in RvR. The only way to get a group is using the Open Party System. But, I suppose I can't be too negative about this. It is a new game, but that excuse won't last. If your going to play this use the /hide command. It will protect you from the gold spammers. And holy shit there are alot. I will usually get 1-2 messages every 4 minutes. It varies.

Graphics - 7/10: Pretty good, but some parts need some work. Some of the areas look great, while some...well...errr. Take the Black Orc's first few "choppas" for example. My eyes bled when they tried to look at them. Simply horrible. Most of the other weapons look ok. Same for armor.

Combat - 4/10: Nothing to get excited over. Sound is lacking. Animation is pathetic. Can be a little fun if you play the right classes. Monster AI is stil not the best (even after a fix) its better, but still needs work. All those annoying little "Target is not within range (or whatever it says)" bugs have been mostly fixed.

RvR - 3/10: For a game thats supposed to be all about RvR, it...well it just failed. Sure, the first few games were fun. But nothing close to the fun I get in GW PvP. The RvR is basically something like this: 70% gear based 29% level based, and 1% skill based. Ready to get raped by rank 11 black orks in tier 2 gear? You sure as hell better be.  You don't stance a chance, and for a tank, they hit more like a melee dps.  Its not just black orks too, its all of the destruction classes. Nordenwatch was the worst scenario in my opinion. But it was the only one you could ever get into. Khaine's Embrace was far better. Open RvR areas are completely empty 75% of the time.

Other (Grinding and Population) - 4/10: The grinding is sooooooo boring. Sure, PQ's can be fun and a great way to earn some xp. But due to the Population  its nearly impossible. Most PQ's are empty. Well about the grind again, for the early levels the xp requirment is high. No way in hell am i sitting through that for 40 levels.

Overall - Just another overhyped MMO. RvR is seriously lacking, so is everything else. But hey, I see plenty of people enjoying this game. So I won't bother them. Ill be in Guild Wars having fun with my guild mates and doing some real PvP.  Bye and thanks for reading...

I think WAR has attracted more amateur reviewers than any other mmo in history.

This is the third I've seen posted this hour.

I am just troubled with the performance so fare (I was hardly able to play it in fact)

    1. Has crash to desktop and those other instabilities been rectified?

    2. Has lag improved?

    3. Has general performance and FPS improved?

Rvr 3 out of 10? Just cause you got raped by a Black Orc with good gear doesn't mean you wont be able to get the same gear. Pvp some more, gain some reknown levels and visit a reknown merchant. A lvl11 will always kill, lets say a lvl7. Besides let them shine at that level for a little while. The moment they ding 12 they're at the bottom of the food chain again. That's the essense of level-based pvp combat. It's the same in all of them. I found rvr to be really exciting and the fact that I can level only doing pvp is a godsend. It was WoW's pve that burnt me out on that game, so bugger off to pve. WAR's pve is lacking yes, but meh..I just skip it till it gets better except some of the PQ's. I'm in this game for it's pvp mostly anyway.

All in all, good luck trolling WAR somewhere else. Dunno why people do this? I've trialed and played alot of mmo's I found lacking, and that include some of the really hyped and big titles out there, but I don't go to a forum whining about the game after I'm done playing em.
