random gifts?

in Atlantica Online

i received a gift earlier and it was an armor for my shaman. it was weird because i didn't know the person who gave me the gift and when i said thanks, i asked why i was given the armor. he/she said i was randomly chosen by the system.

how does that work?

cos the system's pretty good. i've already received around 20k worth of gold from 4 different users (5k each). haha.

    There is at least one quest that requires you to message another player and another quest that has you send something to another player.

    Yes there's a quest and maybe he's your mentor? my mentor keeps giving me bunch of stuff, i want to tell him to stop but he dosen't know english properly so yea

    Under the community menu, there is a "Beginners" option.

    If you are over level 30, go to that menu, and give a gift to someone on the list, you get 1 stamina back.  You can do this 5 times per day.  Some people will randomly give you things just so they get stamina.

    Also they may try to mentor you.  If they mentor you and you get to level 30 they get 200,000 gold.  It doesn't cost you anything to help them, and they will probably answer your questions and give you things. 

    Also for high level players 20,000 is nothing.

    yes i myself have received 10k randomly and some items from other high level players.. when i asked them they said it was part of a quest to complete it.. just smile and say thanks, theres no catch to it.. eventually as you level uip you will also have to pay it forward sonner or later

    oh. so that's how it works. i just had to know cos i received the things one after the other while i was still in beijing (if i remember right).

    and because im lowlevel, 20k meant something. and the armor that was given to my shaman wasn't like the ordinary one that pops out of a spirit equipment box.

    I usually recieve gifts from GMs or developers at certain times. I think it's part of the plan to promote Atlantica Online and give incentives to users to keep on playing. It's also a great way to give users a taste of item mall items, so they would buy them in the future. Regarding other players giving gifts, can say I've gotten one, however.
