Man, here we have threads that are so filled with drama, that even half of it is to much...
And all this talk about lag spikes, crashes, mem leaks have not been ingame for over one mnd...
- Anyone that as a minimum understanding of the computer system, or sub standard pc can run this game a-ok .
And all this talk about FC have to say sorry to you kids are so stupid, that it falls back on the one that calls for it. Say sorry for what? Lied to? Man, I did beta test this game, and I was never lied to..

The game is a blast thats it, if you dont like it move on.. But, dont waste your time here with false info about the state of the game..

I sign that twice. i just started in AoC and this game totally takes my breath away. I have no clue what so ever how people can talk so much jibberish about something like AoC. AoC is a pice of art.
I played AoC from launch for about 2 months before I quit. I didn't have many hardware problems, but I just didn't enjoy playing much after my first month. I have nothing against funcom, and believe I didn't "waste" my 50 bucks (65 including the one month subscription). I know that FC drastically improved AO, which I enjoyed for quite a while, so I don't doubt in the least they can do the same with AoC. When I get bored with my current MMOs, and I start hearing more positive things about the path of the game, I always know the install disk is sitting next to my computer desk to fire up and give it another go.
Uhm, shouldn't you be saying this on the AoC forums? The MMORPG forums are the place where ex-AoC players bash the game (since they can't post in the AoC forums without paying). The AoC forums are where you go to be around people that enjoy the game. Better yet, you could spend your time playing the game, that way you wouldn't have to read all the terrible things people are saying about AoC
How much does Funcom pay Norwegians to go to other forums and tell "fluffy bunny" stories about AoC? I would like to know, it may be worth it to move to Norway, I could say nice things about AoC if I was getting paid to do it.

Considering I read about people still having problems you might say that your information is false. You are doing same thing alot of other people have. That they only want people who like the game to talk about it. It's not how discussion forums work thankfully. People will say their opinions and that's how it should be. No matter the game, there is always gonna be negative posts about it. Sure might be alot of outdated things still floating around, but they might still be important information to people considering buying it. Maybe they care about how Funcom handled their customers earlier and might still do?
I feel that most of the haters have actually quit writing here cause it's been a few months now since they felt screwed. It's getting a bit old. But at the same time, many feel obliged to inform people who are considering to buy it that the game is doing really bad and there are good reasons for it.
I just dont understand that the people who actually like the game and still play it, are still posting on the forums. Sure a question about quests or whatever, but not to sit and defend the game, gives me the feeling that it might not be so fun to play after all and more trying to defend spending money on the game and the hours you put into it. Know I've done pretty much that at a few occastions, fooling myself I liked the game and that it just needed a few issues sorted and trying to defend it against haters. When the reason I was even on the forums was that I couldnt really find any fun in the game.
I agree. The whining and weird demands are silly.
But the game isnt a blast. Its boring. And they lied to me selling it as mature game. This game isnt mature at all. Naked skin and blood dont make a game mature. Until lvl45 on two chars there was nothing, absolutely nothing that was able to attract my attention. And i am a mature adult. The game was just a marketing gag in that regard. You probably can fool teens, but many adults get angry if you sell them hot air.

Anyone reading this just go search the tech forums on AOC for yourself. read the THOUSANDS of posts from people with comps that can realign the space shuttle having mem leaks after patches THAT THEY NEVER HAD SINCE LAUNCH. IE Failcom fukd it up not the users. Raid bosses still bugged out, HOW BOUT THOSE NON FUNCTIONAL FEATS? Or better yet how bout that ones that do you work but you cant tell wtf they do.
People are lying about the game? oh really..my box says DX10...(Still not in game, Sure it might be a minor..issue but on my new rig built to run AoC I put vista which I fukn hate on it for the DX-10..ooops oh well can't play any of my old games but I digress) How About Drunken Brawling? Where are the towers for smaller guilds to fight over? How about the NPC attacks on guild cities...none of this is in the game.... Sure it looks pretty. Sieges are better, Still need to take your MAMMOTH and pound your head on a piece of wall for 15 minutes to do anything, but whatever its fun ...I guess going after ABANDONED KEEPS) Still no progress towards end game content put in yet, unless you want the half of a pvp system they put in (also not in at LAUNCH) How bout that customer service? blah blah blah blah yada yada yada....
Lets just put it this way... there is more missing features still than active content available in game (Cybering with GMs nonwithstanding) <--- oh and for the new guy fan posting above prolly thinking this is a joke go dig thru old posts, there are links about the whole cyber GM thing..true story.
Anyway thanks for opening a new dialog with this post to help get the negative information out to the public.

i agree but depending on your gamestyle (hardcore/casual) you will run out of content in 1-3month
for me i really love aoc but i wont resubscribe bevore new content is introduced
i havent regretted a minute of playing the game tough
what most critics wanted on the other hand is a mmo they could live in (like wow) where aoc is more like a good movie/book/theater play. youll have fun but at some poimt it ends.
from the typical mmoers perspective tough a mmo shouldnt end but develop (or catapult you?) into an endgame status where aoc still has some homework to do.
me personally i rather enjoy my stay in the game then rush to some repititive endgame status so aoc was a nice experience for me and hopefully will be again in the future

Funny comment. Either you were not in beta or you must not see what's happening around you. I too was in beta and I was lied many times. FC lied about what was going on in beta but since we had the NDA, we couldn't say anything.
We all know how FC lied to us over and over again. Just go watch any Erling interview and you'll probably get 20+ lies. Saying "I was never lied to" makes you sound like an idiot.

OP: If your views and method of communication is in any way indicative of the AoC communitys feelings then I am afraid the game have issues beyond repair.

Halandir you see, you are part of the problem here. You represent a group that for some reason got into their heads that AoC is something more than a game. That it is some kind of evil, that you need to mobilize against it and that you need to campain against it. You are also missing the fact that there is a whole bunch of people, who like this game and that we actually like to talk about changes and things to come (which by the way is quite hard when there's like 2 off topic statements between every gamerelated post). Frankly, AoC gamers here are probably asking them selves right now, WTF is Halandir talking about?? You obviously do not understand AoC and AoC's gamers... And it is safe to say we do not understand you either. We are even at this point, but you are stepping over a line when you take your campain to the AoC forums in MMORPG. That's right, this is AoC's forum and people interested in the game reside here. I suggest as OP did, that you take a step back and stop this mad political campain in the AoC forums (regardles of what you motivation is). Nobody care about the rant anyway, it's just that it is so increadible annoying because you wount make one single reflected suggestion or comment about the game. You just want to rant and mobilize people for your campain. This is a game, so try and relax.

I just got done giving all my buddy keys out. I have stated legitamate claims and I dont appreciate personal attacks here. It also seems that post I was giving the key out under was removed over the last few minutes? Anyway 4 people got keys - Im saving one for Jackthecat. Then I have 5 more on a second account... I want people to try the game themselves. Absolutely I do...

It may be a disappointment to you but i do not represent any kind of "group" when I post on an internet forum. When I post I simply represent my own opinion and if you have a problem with that then by all means report my post.
I am certainly not running a "political campaign" here, just as I have never said a word (or posted) about any "petition".
I am actually a fairly relaxed person. I am a bit confused about what your real problem is, but nevermind that.
