No really, to all the haters - just name one that is better in more than one respect. And EVE doesn't count - only "classic" mmos with walking avatars apply.
Ofc I'm resubbing. There is no better MMO out at the moment. No really, to all the haters - just name one that is better in more than one respect. And EVE doesn't count - only "classic" mmos with walking avatars apply.
Umm... which games chat system would you like to talk about first, or perhaps crafting system? Maybe dungeons or visual customization of characters? Sorry, you asked.
I'm not sayint Warhammer is crap, but it isn't the best of bread in every aspect either. There are many things I do enjoy about the game, but also some I really despise. Of course you have already labeled anyone who isn't going to continue playing as a hater. Several others in this thread have done the same, except they call anyone who isn't staying a fanboi of another game.
Is it so hard to believe that maybe the game might just have some serious issues or some people just don't enjoy the current state of the game? Does everyone have to be a hater or fanboi to express an opinion around here?
Logged in and entered an rvr zone..got killed by the many Dest that were owning the place..All Order must have been afk because no one wanted to go in there..
Soo, tried to log out to solo there with my higher lvl but could not log out!
Had to close through task manager..
Next attempt crashed at server screen..Then could not log in again because I started to get an Authentication Failed Critical Error..

I can name about 8 exisiting MMORPG's which really ARE MMORPG's and not merely MMO's.
From fluent animated characters to a working economy to better balanced classes to polished hi raid PVE play and dungeons to faster PvP fights. To real working fly paths, to real open world 3D you fly over, to underwater worlds, to epic dragon rides.
To more social communities, to better communications, to nicer professions, to social activities like weddings, to better RvR, to better tactical PvP, to better server capped populations, to even more succesful launches.
Just say how many more MMORPG's you want to be cited.
Let me begin with the fighting animations of ship combat in Pirates of the Burning Sea.

This is a great game. I can't believe some of the negative stuff i read here is posted by people who actually played... It's really like they are talking about a different game than the one I am playing and enjoying immensely.
The game does have some minor issues, but they are mainly centered around player communication and population. They probably launched with too many servers, and they definitely to work on the chat system a bit... There is a lot of great content there, we just need to be able to get people together to do it. I think that if you are on a server with a decent population, or in a good-sized, active guild... you might not even see these issues. I play with a regular 6 man group, and we have really only ran in to a few things we couldn't do without more help. The PQs with Lords, and keep sieges are pretty much out of the question on our server though.
I will definitely keep my account active... I really feel like I could play this game for a long time. It's been a few years since I played an MMO with endgame content that was even compelling to me. RvR is definitely preferable to roof-jumping and endless reputation grinds.

Agreed! The negative posts are so different than what I'm experiencing... I may have to re-evaluate AoC; because I skipped that game due to the negative posts made here. Well, for AoC I was hearing things like: loading screens everywhere, game crashes, falling thru the world to infinite space, rvr areas not even done, etc.
Here the complaints are: nobody will talk to me, I can't make a friend, and stuff like that. I'm not going to judge such people and say that maybe it's because they are real loosers... I'm not going to say that no matter how tempted. But if you join a guild, turn on vent, it's pretty easy to make new friends.... my newly formed guild raided all night last saturday, taking over keeps, joking around, etc. What a blast.
79 people so far out of 228 are quitting. Wonder the actual amount really is because u know there are people probably voting who arnt quiting just check which ever box because they can.

....and if you need help finding a guild, look no further.
I went into this game looking for a solid guild focuses on RvR and group scenarios/PQs etc. A group of people who were willing to stick together and really push forward to see what the game had to offer. I found these people and I'm having a blast, of coarse I'm renewing.
Those who are still on the fence need to find a guild and stop being so passive about Open RvR, guilds are out there right now every night taking keeps for hours on end. Get in those guilds, this game is not a soloers paradise like other games. Unless you're well connected(talk to allot of guild leaders) you're not going to know where they're hitting until it's all over so you can 'hitch a ride'.
It's one month and done for me with WAR. I like it more than AoC, but ultimately I again wasted $50. I kick myself for wasting $100 this year on those two games. I'm done with MMOs this calander year. Stopped my WoW subscription and won't buy WotLK either. Hello Pokerstars.net; playing freebies.
Ditto! (Well, except for the Pokerstars part). Age of Conan was a waste, and Warhammer, while the most fun I've had in an MMO in a long time, just isn't doing it for me. There is no risk vs reward, which makes the PvP stale after a while.
It's a great game, but I think there will be better soon enough. Until then, I'll play some console games for a while. Looks like the next thing I'm looking forward to is Darkfall (LOL...).

I think youll find that trying the game is much better than getting advice from forums on which game is good or not. 90% of mmo posts are about how much they suck. As far as p2p games go most of them are pretty good, despite what you hear, its the f2p games, for some reason, that seem to get a lot of postive posts, while the game itself is pretty weak.
as far as renewing my sub, ill worry about that after a roll a few more characters to endgame, i still havent even seen endgame for myself on my first char. I havent even scratched the surface on titles or lore either. I got a LOT of stuff to do before i consider moving on, barring some crazy bad patch that nerfs the games fun.
I tend to avoid what people say about games, or at least try to. As far as renewing goes, I might renew. Since this thread is biased and doesn't have "undecided", i selected "renew"
not only do all polls need a undecided options, they also need a way o viewing the results without casting a vote...wonder how many people vote whatever just to see the results.
to the guy with lag: its either your gpu is too slow, you have too many backround applications running, or you have some memory leak or ram issues.
the only time i really get lag is when i first log in, scenarios have been almost flawless. but i do hear some people complaining about lag, perhaps its your isp's location?
Comments
I will be renewing. Been awhile since I have had this much fun in a MMOG.
no one is forcing you to play scenarios. you dont have to powergame and worry about the little yellow bar. sit back, have fun.
totally agree with you on this, hey i even enjoy reading the quests story now
Your right i think i have been playing to much this week :P would judt be nice if everying thing in the game was rewarded as well as scenarios :P
You really need another option for "Undecided" and "I just want to see the results."
We all know which one the WoWbois, AoC fans, and Darkfallers, etc etc are picking.
(Just trying to give advice on making a useless poll more useful)
STOP WHINING!
This game has serious issues with lag.
Waiting for the next thing
Ofc I'm resubbing.

renewing!
just want to see endgame content then decide again
Definite renewal.
This is a good game, no matter its faults
More important, its a viable alternative to wow
Torrential: DAOC (Pendragon)
Awned: World of Warcraft (Lothar)
Torren: Warhammer Online (Praag)
No resub for me.
My experience so far tonight....

So..fuck it..
I can't take it any more lol. Up yours GOA!

renew for me. i'm having fun so far i've only played destruction side so i've yet to even try any order classes/zones.
