Exactly like final fantasy with some elements of WOW.

Atlantica is pretty awesome. Unique battle system and a newbie-friendly series of quests to get you started. Right now, the open beta grants you a bunch of bonuses like auto-moving and stuff and reaching level 20 gives you some useful rewards as well.

It is quite a good game. For those fantasy, history, mythological fanatics out there, this is a game to try for. I'll try to post later some screenshots to convinced you guys, that this game is quite interesting and fun.

Atlantica Onlione features the turn based fighting system and their story revolve around Atlantis and some places which were considered as cradles of civilization. If you like history combined with fantasy, you should try this game..

Getting straight to the point, I am absolutely amazed by Atlantica. This game came out of a nowhere, I had never ever heard of it and happened to run across it about 2 days after open beta started.

The amount of content and things to do is crazy, it just released to open beta and has more to do then most released pay to play games. It has a depth to it that I have not seen in a long time. It  uses real places like Beijing and Manilla, the Mekong river, New Delhi etc. (If you play this, you will never have to look stupid asking someone what country Norway was in, like a friend asked me once)  but has enough fantasy to make it a game, and not a history book.

Your guild can actually have an effect on others, if you don't like so and so guild you can make the travel agency charge outrageous prices to go there or you can steal population that is traveling to their town for example.

There is a main quest that goes all the way to cap level and beyond, there is a very well done upgrading system, a great crafting system, an amazing battle system (I was worried about this, but it runs extremely smooth)

I don't even view this as a single game, it is several games all rolled into one great package. The guild aspect is a game in itself, the crafting system is a game in itself, same with the PVP tournaments, and upgrading system. Then you have the bestiary system, sharing info, mentoring, side quests, mercenary quests, upgrading mercs, skills, etc etc etc.

It is still in open beta, and there have been some issues with gold selling spam, they jumped on this in no time and have been implementing things to prevent it from happening. The developers seem dedicated on making this game a work of art.

I have been disconnected a few times, but it takes no time to get back in. I have not experienced any lag and I play from overseas (Asia and Oman)

I was playing around with Florensia and messing around with old school EQ before I found this (What a joke Florensia is, it will likely be in "Open Beta" for years, an excuse for having absolutely no content and bugs, but the cash shop is damn sure open) and I haven't even thought about either since I started.

It is fun. Something I have not really found in recent games, sure they are fun for the first day or two, but I know it won't last. I am a hard core gamer, but I am in no rush with Atlantica, I know I will be here for a very long time, it doesn't matter if it stays F2P or goes P2P, I'm staying.

The game features a persistent world populated by player-generated characters and NPCs. At character creation, a player selects one of seven basic classes and can then customize the character's appearance. There are no races to choose from; only humans are available. The character's class decides what armor that character can wear and what weapons and skills that character can use in battle.

Players do not fight with the starting character alone; as each character levels up, it can acquire player-controlled mercenaries. During the mandatory tutorial section at the beginning of the game, a player chooses his/her first two mercenaries; as the character gains levels, it can control more mercenaries, up to the maximum of eight, which makes for a party of maximum size nine.

All characters can, in addition to their battle skills, pursue a number of different crafting abilities.

    Live.Play.

Dont forget about the awesome Stamina system. Once you run out of it, you can't play anymore until next day. I dont understand the purpose of such a system.

Atlantica Online is the worst item shop grinder I ever tried.

well, it's in its open beta stage so flaws are acceptable..? anyways, they are revamping a lot of stuff inside the game, for example the auto-move license is now a permanent thing.. why not give it a second shot?

Who said you can't play?with stamina your exp is just tripled, when you run out it goes back to regular, first of all tell me how many people on atlantica actually run out of stamina?i mean cmon with a party of 3 you loose 1 stamina per 3-4 fights..thats more than 400 battles in 24 hours

Well, I never ran out of stamina yet as of today, that's because I am only playing Atlantica Online 5-6 hours a day. As Gabby-air said, you have to be superactive in Altantica Online before you ran out of stamina for a day. And also, there are lots of ways to recover your stamina. I guess they have posted it in other threads and ou can just look them.

the stamina system are for players with "real lives".. i can't even empt my stamina in one sitting, how do you guys do it??? anyways, stop complaining about the stamina as it is your duty to get a job, or study, or take care of your pets, or whatever.. not just play the whole day lol
