    Ok

SWG sucks and should be buried, not sold. No need to explain why, see the swg board.

FFXI is boring and a lvl gring imho. Ask Rathma and Ramadin for more ranting on FFXI.

COH is fun, fresh and time killing as hell. I like it after 2 months of playing and the new patch will hook me for much longer. Get it. Just my opinion. See boards for more game info.

Yeah, stay away from SWG, but as  far as FFXI and CoH goes... well...

FFXI requires wasteing vast amounts of time, be it traveling or trying to get a group so you can advance in the game.  (you can spend over 4 hours a day trying to get a group in that game, at higher levels... even if you have plenty of friends and are in a guild with +100 people)

COH you can start blowing stuff up within the first 10 seconds of loading the game, and you can continue to blow stuff up while seeking a group to join.      However you are limited to either blowing stuff up, or hacking stuff up in this game.    Not much to else to do.... I found superjumping back and forth across the map to be more entertaining then blowing stuff up, later on in the game. ;P

If ya held a gun to my head and made me pick one, though, I would have to say CoH.

To be real about it -

SWG, I say get it :) and play it for about 2 months because by that time WoW or EQ2 will be close to release. Also, SWG will only last you that long. Trust me you will get bored within 2 months time.

CoH? well the new patch offered some new stuff so you can give that a shot for about 2 months.

FFXI? no... if you like grouping all the time just to gain 1 level be my guest. if you like a horrible GUI? be my guest. if you like ripping out your hair... have at it.

Noone comments on CoH's grouping system and lvling treadmill. It is actually pretty slow. The debt system can get annoying and on some of my toons, debt has gotten to be such a problem that I am limited to soloing green mobs to clear it up.Grouping for task forces can be slow sometimes too. Noone likes Ice/Ice tankers and anything ice for that matter [cept' perhaps the rare ice controller]. Albiet, it is a very unique game. Get it.

I just cant believe that a copy of COH still costs 50 bucks.

I figured they would have dropped the price a bit by now. It would make more sense with these new games coming out that COH would be trying to expand their playerbase. I was going to pick it up just to kill some time till WOW comes out and then maybe pick it back up when the PVP expansion comes out.

Then I saw that 50 dollar price tag and said forget it. I am not going to pay that much for a time killer. I will just play my xbox and haunt these forums instead.

Sure would have been sweet to be a superhero though.

The exemplar system is sayed to work very well to kill debt if nothing else.  I didnt try it myself(with a debt), but my RL friends are in awe face to it on this aspect.

swg is basically get monye and you own game. then u buy armor get buffs kill much harder things then you almost fells like your cheating. to me really boring combat like all mmorpgs{except coh}. cool only because star wars logo. take same game mechanincs and make up a universe would already be dead by now i truly belive that. the community is good if your in grp but many times theres not many people around it seems that want to grp.

ffxi cool because ff but there wears off when your stuck lfg for 2 hrs and dont get in one and cant hardly fight solo and get xp for it. combat while slow at least looks really cool. long long grind in this game. story type quests are high point with simi-cutscenes to move it along. everyone looks similar not much custom. comunity hurts this one with language barrier

coh no powerful ultimate weapon or armor to work for. great combat. best custom. systme ever. missions are repitive like all mmorpgs the diffrence is that its fun. like i siad combat is cool. with new issues some stuff to work for ala capes badges. also very awsome community.

all games have there problems coh has by far the least for me but you may be diffrent.

-Gosh you're cute. Wanna buy a monkey?

Talking about Cryptic charging 50 bucks STILL...

In November, this and quite alot of other MMORPGs will lose a good deal of subscribers.  No matter which new game you're dying for (EQ2 or WoW), it seems most people are going to drop these, so called, filler games.

I really enjoy CoH, and play almost every night.  Will I continue at mid-November?  Nope, consider it scrapped.

With that said, you would think they would start cutting down the price of the game to, at a minimum, get new players that live under a rock, and don't know anything about EQ2 or WoW...

    I've never played the online FF, but I can honestly say this of CoH: the only reason it looks better is just that... it just looks better.  The thing is, after a while, it gets tedious.  You will often encounter people using your exact power sets (because, you will find, some power sets outright suck).  The only thing to the game is watching your character beat something into the ground; higher level people don't even need to be at the computer, just auto-attack and go do something while their character does the work.  That may have changed in the update, but watching a friend stop, play me in a game of Dead or Alive 3 that turns into a tournament when other friends get their, then leaving his character online and going "meh, I'll be fine" as enemy's spawn around him and attempt to attack is rather ludicrous.  especially when they were yellow (higher level than he was) and in groups of 10.  he wasn't even attacking, he was getting KSed and mocked while afk!  while it was amusing, it was dissapointing too. ><;

I wouldn't go with either, just chill and do something productive.  Or whatever. O.o

When you grin like me, you make people realize that arguing with you is a moot point. It'd be like talking to the salad bar. It makes me wonder why people keep talking. O.o

    CoH is a fab game.

A dont have time to refute every point, but the one about - you will meet people with the same powerset-. There is about 25 options in each class. Most current games dont have that and I don’t think EQ2 and Warcraft will. Your Fighter class is a Fighter thats all you get with some tweaks.
