Guide for character leveling-up.

YuramikoYuramiko Member Posts: 176

Good day. I just starterd playing Atlantica online and still I'm quite a novice on how am I going to level-up faster? Can you pleas give me advise or guidelines to help my character level boost-up? By the way I'm currently using a Staff type character with four mercenaries: swordsman, archer, shaman and gunner.

Can you help me out so I can level up faster?|

I am a novice in playing Atlantica Online  too but I guess an idea how to level up. I guess you need to do more fighting during the game. I mean as your player increases their experience, they will soon level up. This is just an idea though. I am not sure and I may be wrong.

Thus leeching to a party helps? Coz, I'm planning to ask some friends to leech me on their party. If I remember it right Atlantica party is only limited for only 3 members?

you can only party with 2 other people also the amount of exp you can leech is 10X your level. so im level 62 right now if i group with one of my lvl 80 guildmates the most exp i can get from leeching is 620. so if you're level 14 you can get 140 and so on. it really is just best to group with people your own level and actually fight with them if at all possible. also do every quest.  and work on your line-up to make killing easier.

    a normal setup is-

    Tank-Tank-Tank

    Dmg-Dmg-Dmg

    Suport-Main-Suport

Tank characters at low levels are, Sword, Viking, Spear

Dmg characters at low levels are, Spear, Gunner, Archer, Axe, Canon, Viking.

Support characters at lower levels are, Shaman, Monk

These change at higher levels. also while a spear can be a decent frontline merc i wouldn't recomend it unless you have another spear behind it to swap with it when one gets low hp. Also if your main has alot of hp you can put him on your second row just be careful because if he dies your whole team loses.

Party! Party! That's the best way to earn to level up. Just remember that 100+ xp is a lot at lower levels. I think it is one level per 100 xp below level 10. Plus you recieve experience books and other stuff. There is no downside to partying. Even if you're not on the same area, you can still party with each other and earn bonus experience. Other than that, you should just do quests and do a little grinding.

I've just tried it once, when I was doing the quest to kill the big bad evil tree. Someone invited me to her party, so when battle mode come, It happened to be that both of us were killing the monster? I got confused then, can someone enlighten me of this issue?

  • bam555bam555 Member Posts: 51

if you are near eachother and in a party, when battle starts you will both enter the battle, you then basically get to team up on the group you're fighting and loot is split depending on what the party leader set it at before he invited you.

That is quite a cool feature for Atlantica Online, This will help us alot since some of us can't really go solo when fighting of a very big bad monsters.

Join a guild or make a friend in high lvl or take on a mentor(and party with him/her).  That you earn these small exp books.  Best that you don't do your quest and push on high lvl Dungeon Maps (with party) and you lvl up quick.

There is no guide for faster leveling. Just stick to the quests and do them fast. Questing in a party is also very good if you hate grinding for levels. You ain't gonna run out of quests until 60+ or so, and you can acquire better mercs only at certain levels which makes you look forward to leveling rather than being a chore.

One thing i realized though is that levelling per se is pretty much easy and quick ingame... the only obstacles to your fast levelling is crafting, treasure hunting, fishing, betting or whatever sidequests not related to levelling up. if you stick to the quests and do as your told you can get to 10 levels per day below level 50,,, as you reach higher levels levelling will be slower due to stamina cap but still, when youre with a party doing quests, youre gonna be maximizing efficiency in the amount of exp you gain for every 1 stamina lost...

There is only few ways to level up faster if you are a newbie in atlantica.. first create a party that has one hi lvl to contribute larger bonus exp to you then consume all your bones exp books to you desired character you wish to level up... then just concentrate on the quest... just dont do  farming if you are a newbie... because if you concentrated on the quest you will find that  the reward exp in the quest are quite high so your character can use his to level up faster...

I've tried that one, asking a friend of mine who started this game waaaaaaay ahead of me and I did levelled up faster! There was even one time when I was just 'sitting' when suddenly I levelled up! That was really nice!!!

Take time to smell the flowers!

I've tried it once, to level up my character through party. So I can guarantee that the exp you can gain is much more faster rather than leveling up solo. I hope that I can helped you out on this stuff. I'm also a newbie of this game.

when in a battle, i always save the last hits for my main character. since it is a cannon, i try to lessen the health of the monsters in the periphery with my other mercenaries, then when their health is low enough, that's when i get my cannon to attack, voila! big exp. haha.

I don't get why people need a guide for leveling. Just follow the arrows. It moves you where you are supposed to be unless you're dumb enough to not click the auto move that is now a permanent part of the game. Needless to say, as you play the game, you will know exactly where to go if ever you need grinding for your levels.

good point, its not that difficult ingame... the best advice i could give you is to try this game and just play it. on average 2-3 quest npcs can bring you AT LEAST 7 levels per day

So temporarily, as long as I just wanted to level up, all I have to do is to do the necessary quest and as much as possible avoid those necessary contraptions, to avoid slowing down to level up your character. But is it advisable to not to do those crafting, gambling stuff whenever I'm still at the lowest level in the scenario?

You can do crafting. It's expensive though. I don't suggest anyone to do so until level 40s or something. Like I already said, do yer quests. Do it in a party. Find someone with the same quests as yours and definitely they will accept. The only time you ain't gonna have a party is during main boss fights.
