Now these are the players that really matter. They are testing the game and not saying that they enjoy the game for free. They are complaining because of undocumented features, changes, and tweaking needed in the game. Give me a break you moronic idiots. You are there to test the game. If you are losing interest don't play no more and don't buy the game when it hits retail. (They will so that they can complain more). I am so sick of these beta testers doing nothing but complaining. If you want it better suggest stuff don't just sit and complain. YOU ARE TESTING THE GAME FOR FREE YOU ARE NOT PAYING TO PLAY. Sorry about my rant but I am so tired of these beta testers. If Blizzard wants to install features or change the way something works it is still beta they should and can as they choose. No need to ask, no need to tell.

I think it is time for people who want to test the game to test it not to complain. Oh and by the way complaining about the game is not going to get it changed. If the company deceides to implement something it is unlikely it won't be implemented.

They are playing game not for free they are wasting their time for the none complete game. I would do the same thing if I wouldn't be satisfied with something. It is a beta test so they should do it! and after level 50 there is almost nothing to do right now, Blizzard should make more content. You are saying about COMPLAINING look at yourself!!!

If people are losing interest in the game, then they should give up their beta spots to someone who really wants to play.

We do have to remember the game isnt even released yet and with release means everybody at lvl 1 again.  Has the full version of the pvp been in yet?  I do not think blizzard intended to make the end game at the start.  I think they are more worried about the game content at the start and fix as many things possible for the release.

Sure I am game image for beta.

They can't just give up their accounts couse its illegal and they may even get IP banned from the retail version. All they need to do is keep playing not to quit even if it is so boring that you can't play it. Who said something about that everybody going to be level 1 at the release? Do you have official source? If so please tell me I really want to know either I'll keep testing leveling up system or I should stop it couse it would be for nothing.

If there is nothing to do your welcome to IM me on my screen name quicky1984 and pass your WoW CB account to me, I will definately find something to do. I would love to flame but, its Blizzards game so they can choose to do what they want. Instead of whining and crying why don't they just give some good feedback on what Blizzard can do differently. But of course the little kids don't know how to do that.

I think this is why NDAs should be in place until release. A game evolves through beta and the good-ol-boys that were in it from the beginning start complaining and exaggerating the problems. Due to burn-out, they ignore the silver-lining. So all we hear is complaining and being that we aren't in beta, we conclude from their remarks.

Better to keep everything secret until or very near release and then everyone starts from a clean slate. Well, except for the beta testers, who sacrificed their full enjoyment of the game to be in beta.

And yes they can give up their accounts, As long as the person who gets the account abides by the rules, they can use it all they want. There is a thread where a blue actually responds to it, and shows where the rules are. Does not say that you will get banned for sharing accounts. It says that who ever uses it has to abide by the rules, and if you give it away and aren't playing it doesn't really matter what the person does after that because you won't be back on it.  Please read before you state things. Thank you and have a nice day.

Haha this is so funny. Give me a break you play a game to waste your time that is your choice. The game is in beta which means it is not complete. As for content in the game they add it all the time. Honestly I have never heard so many babies crying about a beta test. IT IS A BETA TEST NOT RETAIL. The beta testers need to move on to another game they can play for free and keep on crying about. Beta testers should be able to complain.....oh never. Comments, suggestions, thought....no complaints. I would be more than happy to play the game in its current state and pay for it then listen to players playing for free (time wasting on something you sign up for is your choice).

They aren't really losing interest in the game LOL. Unfortunately, MMORPGers have learned that:

"IN ORDER TO EFFECT CHANGE YOU MUST BE NOT ONLY ADAMANT, BUT DRAMATIC"

We learned this from the ranger community in EQ when , in order to effect change, they began saturating the forums with

Rangers are the worst class ever.
    Rangers are a joke.
    Ranger DPS is below Paladins.
Rangers are not wanted in groups.
Rangers are not wanted in raids.
There is no reason to play a ranger.
    We are quitting.
    Blah blah blah.

Then, of course, the druids and paladins figured it out and began their campaign. This is why you seldom hear "Hey rogues are pretty good and I am enjoying the class but our stealth needs a slight tweak upward in effectiveness" and instead hear "OMG ROGUES USELESS! NERF KILLS CLASS!". LOL, get with the program.

    (ii) As part of your registration process and in consideration for the privilege of accessing World of Warcraft, Blizzard has the right to send your computer one or more "cookies" without any further notice to you, and Blizzard has the right to obtain certain identification information about your computer and its operating system, including the identification numbers of your hard drives, central processing unit, IP addresses and operating systems, for identification purposes without any further notice to you;

and why would they want your IP for? the only thing comes to my mind is to block you from your account. I dont think anybody reads all these fency language agreements. and it is just an agreement nothing more. if they want to they can do IP block you anytime. so I think all beta testers understand it and trying to lay low as possible.

Maybe to keep testers from sharing their account with 10 different people, at 10 different locations, with 10 different IP addresses? Seems reasonable to me.

I have seen other games use this data as a way to track hackers that have one account, hack someones account for there stuff, and place it on there account for future sale (online or ebay). Using the IP can locate the person who has hacked the account and therefore can assist in both criminal charges and for banning. Using the IP I believe is mainly for statistics and for account maintaince.

This thread helps prove one important point: if you spend a long time beta testing a game, by the time it goes retail its no longer new/fresh, and you are either getting bored of it or one step closer to being bored of it. Thats why I try not to play betas for more than 2 weeks. I play just enough to decide if I like the game or not, and to learn how to play the game so come retail im not a complete noob.

Your leveling would not be for nothing.  Do I have to explain what a beta test is?  I hope not.........

Or maybe you are one of those people that just plays the game and never /suggests or /bugs.  I played the Stress Test and did each at least ten times, and you dont see me complaining about not having my characters at release.  I was just happy to be able to get a glimpse of the game and am looking forwards to playing again in Open Beta even though my characters will be deleted.  In fact, I wouldnt have it any other way.

imageFunny,  Almost everyone is feeling the same way or is starting to find other negative issues about "flawless" World of Warcraft !!

I'm actually glad, because I was starting to think(based on beta reviews) that World Of warcraft was actually flawless !!

Well welll, Now we just have to wait and see. WoW will certainly be played by almost anyone in any case, the only issue will be for how long !!!

I am a beta tester of WoW and just gave away my EQII beta. . .I lost interest in EQ2 in a very short period of time and personally, my interest with WoW continues to be very good.

I actually experienced seeing a lot of disenchantment with EQ2 on their beta forums. . .

  • aeric67aeric67 Member UncommonPosts: 798

Well, that's probably the case with any beta. Just that WoW is open, while EQ2 is closed. So which one seems better to the layman reading the forums who's not tried either?

EDIT: By open and close I mean the NDA status mostly, not beta status.

  • Cik_AsalinCik_Asalin Member Posts: 3,033

Actually, one of the means to determining which one is better is based on information.  There is so much more open information on the magnificent material open to the public for WoW versus EQ2 that based on knowledge, WoW is the better bet.

It just so happens that there will always be alternate opinions and we have the benefit of seeing that too with WoW being that its information is open to the public, so to suggest that because it is not publicly seen with EQ2 means that it does not exist, maybe even to a greater extent, is rediculas.

image  "I'll keep testing leveling up system"LMFAO!!! testing leveling up system image WTH is that supposed to mean???

Ur big contribution to wow beta is to make sure the toons actually change from lvl 27 to 28 to 29 to 30....??? LMAO

bud - be honest here. u could care less about the beta part of it could ya? i have read post after post by u and all u seem to be worried about is movin ur toons to retail. Id explain the real purpose of beta to u but they left out the crayon font on htis forum. Bud get a clue

I disagree. Most people with positive opinions are testing the game, not BSing in the forums (unless they're at work like me LOL). You are more apt to get negative opinions in the forums during beta... if there is no NDA to prevent that.

Seems like you disagreed with a point I didnt make.  One of my points was to suggest that because one doesnt have visibility to the EQ2 testers forum and to assume that varying opinions about one thing or another arent on there as well is silly.

Hahaha this is so funny. He probably has aced the level change and taken a screen shot of each number change. His only /suggestion....Please make my level number increase exponentially in comparison to the experience I have gained. Hahaha testing the level system.
