You know.... E.D.... Erectile disfunction. These glasses blast high quality pr0n directly into your visual cortex, thus solving your.....manly deficiencies forever!

Actually I think he's talking about this:

This has been tried before, and honestly I can't see it working out too well. You have to have a CRT monitor, and you are effectively halving your refresh rate (each frame is rendered twice - half for the left eye, half for the right.) They might be fun for a while, but I'm guessing it gets lame fast.

i dont think it would work anyway since when i play eq i play for 8 hours straight and i font think i will be able to have glasses on that long without a lot of pain.

The EDimensional 3D glasses are what you are referring to I presume.

Yes I bought these about a year and a half ago... Freaking total waste of money! Do not buy... They are uncomfortable (IE you would not want to wear them long) and they work like SH!@ with ATI cards... The effect is not that good either.

    Happy to help.

Hopefully no ED employees will spam me with hate mail... image

I will add that ED did offer to RMA the glasses after I complained about their non ATI support... I decided I would keep them none the less since it would have cost me half the price of the glasses to ship them back along with the 20% "restocking" fees.

    O wells.

I got mine and they work perfectly with games such Dungeon Siege, Age of Empires, and other mostly 3rd person games. you get what you pay for, you pay 100s of dollares you get super uber glasses with built in monitor you bet less you get less. I wouldn't recommend them in 1st person shooter games.

Yes, a friend of mine has these. Fun for a minute, but they really begin to bother my eyes. I'm not sure if this is something you can get used to over time, i imagine it is, but I am able to stare at a computer screen for 12+ hours a day, between work and play. I was unable to wear these for 15 minutes. I also got motion sickness

I use them ALL THE TIME! In fact, I do´nt play ANY game that is not compatible with them. Going from 2D to 3D is like going from black/white to colour in my opinion. I´d buy them if they cost times as much as they do now. The 3D-effect is AWESOME! I can´t beleive how you could think anything else (but then again, my friends didn´t buy them so I guess it´s a personal preference).

This discussion is WAY off topic, but it's just too damn interesting to do anything about it
