It looks like her husband has lied while testifying as well. Two days ago, he said that he never pressured any state officials to fire the trooper, but today he says that he doesn't regret what he did because the man is a "rogue trooper."

Finding Number Two
I find that, although Walt Monegan's refusal to fire Trooper Michael Wooten was not the sole reason he was fired by Governor Sarah Palin, it was likely a contributing factor to his termination as Commissioner of Public Safety. In spite of that, Governor Palin's firing of Commissioner Monegan was a proper and lawful exercise of her constitutional and statutory authority to hire and fire executive branch department heads.
Finding Number Three
Harbor Adjustment Service of Anchorage, and its owner Ms. Murleen Wilkes, handled Trooper Michael Wooten's workers' compensation claim property and in the normal course of business like any other claim processed by Harbor Adjustment Service and Ms. Wilkes. Further, Trooper Wooten received all the workers' compensation benefits to which he was entitled.

The Attorney General's office has failed to substantially comply with my August 6, 2008 written request to Governor Sarah Palin for infomration about the case in the form of emails.

McCain needs to look for a new running mate. Not this half-whit ex-beauty queen who installs tanning beds in the governers mansion, hires inexperienced high-school friends to do government jobs and fires people because they screwed over her family.

I think this incident would provide a great opportunity (or spin depending on your view point) for the McCain/Palin campaign to use. Rather than fight it, use it. Since Palin broke no laws (key point), Palin could be made as a woman who doesn't take crap and will take action if if no one else will.

John McCain asked a woman he did not bother to vet to be his running mate. Now you see the results. I'm wondering why Monegan didn't just go ahead and fire the guy, if all the accusations of being drunk on the job and tazering a 10 year old are true. What possible reason could he have for not firing him, was he friend's with the trooper or something?
