I'm on the Sea of Dreams server and I have been experimenting with different characters so I have not left tier 1 yet. Every time I queue for the scenarios the only one that ever pops up is Nordenwatch. I have been able to get into Khaines Embrace a few times about a week ago and I have NEVER seen Gates of Ekrund!
I have been playing the game on and off now for nearly two weeks and the situation has never changed. Its just Nordenwatch over and over and over and over. I hate Nordenwatch.....well.....actually thats not quite true.....Nordenwatch is ok but I'm getting sick of the sight of it. What is the big deal about that particular scenario? Why does everyone ALWAYS pick that one to the exclusion of all the others? Is there something I am missing here? I have tried queuing for just the other two scenarios and the hours pass by and nothing happens......yet within a few minutes of selecting bloody Nordenwatch it pops for me. The same happened when I was on the Alarielle server too.
Is there something I am doing wrong here? Could someone enlighten me about this irritating phenomenon? Is the Sea of Dreams actually a server dedicated to the Cult of Nordenwatch? Do all the players on it own the Nordenwatch t-shirt and the Nordenwatch fridge-magnet? Do they play the game while drinking tea from their Nordenwatch mugs? Does running around on the Nordenwatch scenerio satisfy some kind of deep sexual urge that can only be truly understood if you are a member of the Cult of Nordenwatch?
I would be really interested to know if anyone else is experiencing this.......otherwise it could simply be that when I log in to WAR I get pushed unknowingly into some kind of Twilight Zone realm where this only happens to me. Please someone save me from the never-ending Nordenwatch nightmare!!! Aaaaggggghhhhhhh!!!!!!

Well I reckon the queuing system could be flawed. I often find 2 of 3 scenarios will simply not "pop". Although some are more popular than others there should never be a queue quite so long for the less popular venues.
Might be an issue related to the old system of having to be in the right zone to queue for a certain scenario?
I play on Montañas Negras (spanish core server ) and i am afraid the situation, is the same.
My guess is people play all the time the fastes BG, in order to lvl up faster.
Scenarios on WAR, are indeed a issue, is annoying doing the same scenario over and over.

I think you might be right about that actually. I realise that Nordenwatch may be popular to all the boring level grinders which unfortunately probably makes up most of WARs playerbase but I just find it hard to believe that no-one at all ever wants to play on the other scenarios. Hmmm.....oh well I suppose the best I can do is send Mythic some feedback and keep my fingers crossed that its an issue they can resolve.
Ahhh so I'm not alone. Thanks for letting me know. I can sleep easy tonight knowing that there is no Twilight Zone effect occuring.

imo nordenwatch is the most fun tier1 scenario... if you get sick of that one, then get to tier2,,, those scenarios are mutch more fun..(exept for the troll scenario imo)
i really didnt like the 2 outher scenarios in tier1 for some different reasons.. the orc/dwarf because of the atmosphere, and the elf place because of the wiping by that khaine npc dude all the time.
but hey.. i also play on sea of dreams.. its and open rvr server, so why do scenarios in the first place?

Nordenwatch could be the BEST scenario in the entire universe......but I would still like to have the option of playing in the other two from time to time. From the few skirmishes I had in Khaines Embrace I actually rather liked it......its also the one for my starter area so I would like to at least do it once so I can complete the quest. Yeah yeah I know I dont actually have to do it but I'm a quest junky ok (even though the quests are all a load of shit).
As for the Gates of Ekrund.....well.....I'll just have to take your word for it wont I. It would be nice to actually form my own opinion but it seems that will never come to pass.
Oh and yeah I'm well aware that I can just wait until I get to tier 2 but thats kind of beside the point. There is still game content that I am being locked out of and its either game mechanics or other players preferences that are blocking it from me. Tis a bit irritating.
Nord is the dust(cs) of T1.
HAHA man I was just playing and LOL had that thought .. I thougth MAN I que up for 3 yet its ALWAYS nordenwatch.. I pick the other two and I have to wait a good 45min. Pick Nor.. took 3 min. No answer though..
First I think...the design of Nordenwatch is plain and tactical. I don't like the elf's one for only 2 sites, and the map is linear, not triangular. The dwarf/orc one, gate of Ekrund is good for me at least, but I can imagine some people don't like to move up and down, especially for melee players.
Yeah anytime I pick the queue up for all of them it always picks Nordenwatch for me. When I have picked just the other two they have yet to queue up for me since the patch. The tier 2 ones seems to switch around pretty good though when I have tried it with my bigger characters.
LOL, I play on the European Makaisson Server & had exactly the same experience.
I rolled a green skin & kept trying to queue for 'Gates of Ekrund' because I had a quest that required it, but never got into it once. By the time I had reached Level 10 from doing quests, my renown level was minimal & even that was only because a couple of times I tried queuing for Nordewatch as an experiment.
It just doesn't make sense, if the bias against 'Gates of Ekrund' was caused by there being too many greenskins, then the tier 1 zones should have been swarming, but most of the time they were pretty sparse!
If you can't "Have your cake & eat it too", then how can "The proof of the pudding be in the eating"?

i had this problem in t3 for awhile(week and a half), but since the last patch i have been getting into all of them pretty fast
I dunno. Nordenwatch is probably the best scenario in the game, up to and including Tier 3. All the others are either too zergy or too defendy or too flaggy.
Unfortunately, thats how Scenarios have been up until they added the Join All button, which has made it a little better.
While I like Nordenwatch, I got tired of it too. However, this same problem persists through all the Tiers.
In Tier 2, I find Phoenix Gate popping more than Stonetroll and the Temple (though, since the patch, I have actually seen the temple! =D)
In tier 3, you'll only ever see Tor Anroc, as its the only one Order queue up for due to a much greater advantage with more knockbacks/roots than Destruction Tier 3 for fast and easy killing above lava. I've seen the Lost Temple of Isha 1 time before I went into Tier 4 and it was really nice.
And now in tier 4, the only one that pops is the Salvage retrieval Scenario in the elf lands. (I forget the name of it for some reason)
In sort, I really believe a randomizer needs to be in place, or a Warfront kind of feature to promote various Scenarios that haven't been getting played often with maybe additional XP and renown.
I honestly think people are stupid.
Chaos/Empire T1 zones are obviously the most populated ones, I think many people there are missing that there is a join all button now, and many others haven't even seen the arrows, so once they open the join sc window they see nordenwatch, click join and forget about the rest.

People play Nordenwatch because it's the best. And the fastest as well. Period.

I've noticed this too. I believe it is because Nordenwatch finishes out so much faster than the others. It is very uncommon to see a match of Nordenwatch go the full length, whereas Ekrund or Khaines will last the full 15 on a regular basis.
With faster turnover in Nordenwatch, the queues move faster.
Thats not to say that you can't play the others. On my server Khaine's embrace (my personal fav for T1) comes up atleast every 15 minutes, and usually within 5.
Nordenwatch on the other hand... I'm amazed when it takes more than a minute for a queue to come up for Nordenwatch.
