It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!
this is just imform people of the problems i ve had since exiting this game in window mode . essentially its crashed the game and i cannot get back past the accept/decline terms and conditions page . its been perfectly ok upto this point (but then again i d never exited the game in window mode) . so be careful or you may end up having to reinstall it again .

I have been doing it from the very start. Haven't had a single problem.
lol lucky you
I have a friend who had it in window mode and the buttons didn't line up to the target area. It took me a good 30 minutes to get it to work. I had to do some tricks I knew about. Which i think is the same thing your talking about.
no its actually the log in screen it crashes when it comes up to the accept/decline terms and conditions , it wont allow me to tick it and then click accept . tried everything i knew to sort it . unfortunatly theres no way i could find of getting into the settings menu other than starting the game . of course it crashed an would nt allow me access to that either . anyway am reinstalling it again. i leave it in full screen mode this time . if it happens again i ll give up on warhammer it looks ok as a game but quite frankly this is a pain and i cant be bothered with it if the problems persist .
Same
fingers crossed it wont happen again then
If your windows desktop resolution doesn't match your windowed mode resolution, the clickable button areas dont line up and you get the effects you are describing.
Try changing either your in game windowed res or your out of game desktop res to make them identical.
But as for exiting in window mode - like others i have been using it since january in beta and never had any problems.
Waiting for: A skill-based MMO with Freedom and Consequence.
Woe to thee, the pierce-ed.
Before reinstalling, you could have tried changing your user settings in the war directory
mine would be C:program fileseawarusers then right click usersettings open with wordpad, then changed fullscreen="false" /> to fullscreen="true" />
that should then log you in fullscreen mode
EDIT: change True to true, also I have been using windows mode since I started playing and havn't recieved this problem.
i think its proberly just a minor glitch in the game that ll be put right soon enough . the game it self is a lot of fun and i d recomend it to anyone .
Same
Ditto.
I mean, I've had some problems with the game taking 10 minutes plus just to fully close out after typing /exit, but I've only once had the issue where I couldn't log in, and that was because I crashed and it said I was already logged in to another server.
This, however, was fixed by waiting "patiently" for about 30 minutes. I think reinstalling the entire game may be a little extreme, but hey, if it fixes your problem, that's awesome.
Maybe I can hijack this thread an ask a question: How can you get the game to run in a REAL windowed mode? Everytime I use it, it looks exactly like Full Screen, except in Windowed mode it doesn't minimize when I click on something on my extended desktop. I'd like to be able to see the ( - [] X) at the top right and the system tray at the bottom, which is what I'm getting at here.

I had the same problem at first. Here is the fix.
Go to user settings and make sure that your resolution isn't the exact same for full screen and windowed mode. Make windowed mode a lesser resolution. Viola! Fixed!
Ah, thank you very much! I think I tried that before and found that it worked but felt bad lowering my resolution. I dunno why though.. that's what windowed mode IS, lol.
Thanks for the help!
Just press ALT-ENTER to toggle window/fullscreen mode. This is a standard Windows functionality and works for everything, be it a game or office application.
I never had any issues running in windowed or fullscreen mode.
