In my opinion

I have been playing War for awhile and played alot of the classes to 6 or 7 before deciding to try a magus. I am really not a magic kind of guy. I used to love to tank it up and was pretty good at it so I think.  I have been waiting on War for a long time having gotten bored with WOW over the years. Do not get me wrong WOW is a great game that lasted me 3+years. I have to say I really did not think much of  WAR just grinding away and watching the world go by. That was until tonight, I finally got to level 10 and decided to go to my capital city. I have to say I was very impressed that the developers put so much effort into it. It was in my opinion leaps and bounds ahead of WOW. The city  seemed alive and maybe because there were not a bunch of people standing around the mail box. In any case I cannot wait until people start raiding cities. I cannot  imagine the effort it will take to capture one. While doing dungeons for loot might be great this type of warfare could be epic. The great thing is if you rush to get to 40 you are just going to have to wait for everyone else to catch up .It will take a hugh effort by everyone on either side to have any sort of victory.

To be honest, I don't think people will "get" WARuntil they do their first keep siege :) But I definetly agree that the capital cities are great. I can't wait for them to add capitals for the 4 other races.

What are the four other races in WAR? And how do they play out? I mean are they allies or enemies of ORDER/DESTRUCTION? Or are they more like mercenary armies that could go each way?

I agree this game really starts to "kick in" around lvl 10. We had a ball last night. You know I am not a PvP type player but I am hooked in this game. I REALLY hated it in EQ2. Getting ganked constantly by twinks. Not the case here.  Also the trick is to get on a populated server as well. I am sure as time progress this will get rounded out. New cities and new classes. But right now it fun.  At this point I can't get excited enough right now to fire up my WoW interface.

The "races" are Chaos, Empire, Greenskin, Dwarfs, High Elves and Dark Elves. Currently capitals exist for Chaos and Empire, but not for the four others. Mythic is planning on adding these later.

Actually the first city siege already took place, on a European server I believe. The players involved were incredibly disappointed with how easy it was to take the city. There was a thread on here somewhere about it.
