How do you switch to the 3D interface?

I'm hoping that might make the game a little more comprehensible, but after googling and searching in EA's UO help I cannot find a way to switch clients. Why is everything in UO made so hard? This is absurd

I would advise against the KR (3d) client as it is pretty buggy.

But if you are desperate try it from the EA page

    http://www.uoherald.com/kingdomreborn/trial/

KR is the 3d client, but next year they want to do a new expansion with a fixed KR client they will then call Stygian Abyss client as KR has a really bad name for anyone that tried it.

If you need more help try the stratics boards, where more uo players post

I can't switch without applying? I had the opportunity when running UO the first time to pick which client. Never again? Huh. Well thanks for the info.

Applying? If you're asking wether or not you have to make a new account specifically for the KR client, then no. All you need is to download the client and then use the account you've been using for the 2D client. Accounts are not client specific.

Or is it not letting you download without first applying? If that's the case, just apply for it with some bogus account name and password so that you can download it. Then just use your other account name and password when you get it installed.
