Beta scams starting already

Found this bad boy in my email this morning.

Hello, and well met!
I am X, and I understand that you are in the
EverQuest II beta. Well, being an avid EverQuest Live fan, I was
interested in becomming a member of the beta. I bought Lords of
EverQuest, yet my invite was never sent. I felt gipped. Well,
anywho, I received an invite to the World of WarCraft beta, and I
accepted (though I am an EverQuest / EverQuest II fanboy). Anyways, I
was curious if perhaps you would like to do a sharecare. A sharecare
is when one person allows someone to use their account for the other
person to use his account. Say I am in the World of WarCraft beta,
and you are in the EverQuest II beta. I send you World of WarCraft,
and you send me EverQuest II. We swap account information, and allow
each other to play one another's account for various times and
occasions. I understand this sounds like a scam, but it was worded in
the best proper format I am cappable of. I am well-aware of the
Non-Disclosure Agreement in which Sony Online Entertainment holds
their beta-testers by, and, I assure you, I am being held by the same
agreement with Blizzard Entertainment. Anyways, if you are
interested, we can discuss ways of finding if one another are both in
the beta without being scammed. I am willing to provide any
information necessary to further increase your interest in this deal.

I use popular messengers such as AOL Instant Messenger
X, Yahoo! Instant Messenger X, and MSN
Instant Messenger X. If you would like to know
anything about me, or need any information, please let me know.

Once again, I do not intend to rush your decision. I understand this
can be a very complicated matter, and I do not want us to rush into
this. It should be thought over. If we agree, I think this can be a
wonderfull experience and a perfect way to enjoy two rival games at
once.

    It's made funnier by the fact that I already have a WoW beta account, which I've stated here before.

    I wonder if Rathma, or the couple other people here that have said they were in beta got a similar email.

    Start a free 15 Day AC2 account and trade em for his WoW, tell em its a AC2 beta, I'd bet he would bite

    I posted the email on the beta forums, and got a reply from MG, so I imagine a couple guys with necks thicker than their legs will be at his doorstep shortly.

    Amazing.  I must admit the guy is trying to sound sincere, but damm talk about NDA violation and no patience.

    If the game is released on Nov 15th that is only 5 weeks away (34 days....)  Hang in there!!!

    thats funny, he may have just been wanting to trade...but, trade a EQ2 account for WoW thats not an even tradeoff. no one in thier right mind would agree to that.

    Update:

    I got a 2nd email, claiming to be the 'real' Mr Newton. According to the email, he was cruising the boards here, and saw this post, and was surprised to see his name. He said he had just gotten a new comp, and hadn't passworded his login yet. He questioned his girlfriends brother, who seemed nervous about the whole thing. Mr Newton said he wasn't in WoW beta, anhad no clue about the email until having seen this post.

    So, at his request, I edited the original post to remove the personal info.

    And, yes, Kiamde, I'm sure this isn't the first scam attempt, nor will it be the last. But it's worth noting, and reminding people, so they don't fall for something like this in the future. It's kinda like instructions in the box of condoms. People shouldn't require them, but apparently some people still need them.

    Is there anything youc an do about it? Like maybe send Sony the guys email and IM info and let them know about him trying to scam?

    Yes, 'tis me, the 'real' Mr. Newton.  Sorry about the supposed scam.  (God I hate some people).  I assure you that I, as the real Challenge, Kebur, Jimmie, did nothing of the sort, nor intend to.

    Bleh, I really hate some people.

    Why didnt you reply sure send me your WoW information first so you can verify it works :) ? Then of course you would get no answer back.
