In order to create a resitance to the "other" thread, any interested in creating a guild to stomp on those in the Horde? If we all got together from the forums and fought each other, I think it'd be cool to discuss it publically....just a thought.

I think it'll be fun to relate to the game on the forum. I feel lots of arguing on the way. This can be for OB (anyone can get in right?) or even after release. This is going to be so much fun.

Hmm, I'm thinking of joining the Alliance as I was going to in the first place, but I'm having some second thoughts......

During the stress test, me and 2 other fellow Undead where in the Wetlands doing the succubus quest, when we accidently attacked and killed an Alliance npc that was attacking us. As you know, once you do that, you're open for PvP. Well, about 5min after that happened when we were searching for a particular npc to kill, two 30+ Alliance players came along thinking they were uber l33t, and ganked two of us; luckly I was ably to hide under water for along time thanks to the class specialty. Anyways, they started taking crap and acting all 'uber', when all 3 of us where around lvl 20 and they were like 35+ or so LOL. I asked them what the challenge was, but of course they covered that up by saying crap and changing the subject....

So from that experience, I may stay with the Horde since I know the lands better. I will most definately stay also if their is a player shortage on the Horde side, giving the Alliace a better advantage. However, if the Horde is on an equal level with the Alliance, then I may stick to my original thoughts of being a Nightelf Hunter.

I like the idea of a localized mmorpg.com guild in WoW but there are several problems to that.

1. Various Servers
2. Conflict of interest
3. Leaders

The first one speaks for itself

As for the conflict of interest... Many people have different views and opinions. To congregate into a guild they would have to feel comfortable with one another. Random people on these forums doesn't really provide much opportunity for that.

Now on to Leaders. Ah yes the thing that causes most arguement in MMO's but not all. Establishing a leader who is capable as well as articulated and able to empathize (in game) with the guild member's needs is very difficult to find. Disagreements and inner disputes would be rampant without a good leader.

As my final comment I'd just like to say that, however nice an idea this was, it wouldn't work well. I percieve that it would be quite comparable to tribes that have nomadic tendencies. Guild mates arguing with one another, disputes over control/power, and internal splintering effectively alienating various guild members.

All in all that's just my input.

If the alliance leader wants to e-mail me we can discuss where and when we want to start some battles, get a few people to capture the footage on fraps and whatnot. This sounds like alot of fun!

Of course, we'd have to choose the same server. Our best bet is would be to pick the first PvP server from the top of the list.

It takes a lot more than just proposing the idea of a guild and thinking it's going to run itself. Have y'all put any sort of planning into this whatsoever? I'd previously assumed that you had, but as there has yet to be any concrete information on this proposed "guild", I'm starting to think that you just came up with this off the top of your head and thought that it sounded like fun.

If you're going to play on the PVP server you're going to have to have an iron will to manage there as it's going to be (from what I'm reading on the boards) quite intense and you're going to have to have good captains to keep your guildies in line and obeying orders during battles, etc.

Somehow I don't see this happening with this guild idea that you're toying with. Do you have a charter, FAQ, application, site, anything? At least say that you have a charter.

This is just the open beta. We are merely getting a bunch of people into a group for the alliance and horde and have some fun battles. We are not going to propose any "charters" or applications. Everyone is free to join and have fun.

If you are already in a guild it is totally acceptable. Just tune into these forums and we will discuss when and where battles will take place. Bring your guild if you have one (heck, bring anybody who is playing the game) the main goal is to get as much people as possible and to have one heck of a war.

Haha. I mainly started the post to go after the horde topic. Myself am forming an Alliance Guild called Legends After War. Those that are interested in joining can stop by my forum. Either way, I plan on joining a PvE server for the fact I cannot devote my life to WoW. So that in itself kinda of defeats the purpose of PvP all together.
