what kind of tank will the black guard be ?

im thinking it will be more in lines like the brute from city of villains, slow build up with damage , sorta like moral system , but starts dishing out major pain to draw aggro  when at max aswell. and with hatred and while not in combat it decress much like the sorcerers build up of dark matter. in short  tics .

anyone got any input   or statements on how the class is going to be made ?

    As it was this before:

    Ironbreaker's Offensive/Threat abilities + Swordmaster's Defensive abilities = Black Guard

The non-existant kind. Or at least the kind that you won't get until that 2 years later expansion.

Actually they're planning on reintroducing some of the cut careers over the next 4 months. That said, I don't think the Black Guard will be one of those appearing within that time span, as he's most likely the least finished (he never made an appearance in the game during the closed beta, while the other cut careers did).

Personally, I don't see a need to rehash the past and bring the new classes in.   Once you get past 20, everything seems to balance out nicely (at least from what I've seen).  I'd rather them focus on other races and new content, ya know?

well, i know im not alone  in saying this,

when i bought the game i was hoping  to be playing the blackguard as my main from day one.

maybe thats the reason why people are so disapointed lol .

now as for the rest of the classes, i probley wont try them out cause they dont apeal to me,  the only other tanks the do apeal to me  are the sword master and chosen,  but the thing is, i hate the high helfs with a passion  , becuase disney is a lie, and their entire posh society reminds me of a lindsay lohan movie that id like to shoot myself in the head to,  but the dark elfs, they are for me and allways will be

till they bring in the vampire counts, then that will be another story !!!

but as for now im hoping the 2 classes they do bring in would be the that flamer of a knight order is getting and the BLACK GUARD, THE BLACK GUARD !!!!!

Over this weekend I figured out what Characters are Missing.  Where are the Spears and Halberds?  I would love to see the tanks have Halberds.

Now this would be nice.. Is this really true though about the 4 months and cut classes?

Thats true but you would think a Tank would have these also.  It would be great to have tanks have these weapons.

Are the White Lions using Halberds?  I thought it was an Axe?

Its vital for the games health that mythic does NOT introduce another cool destruction class.

Mythic should add the hamere and the human knight asap but no new dest classes. So there could not only be more population balance but also a better balance in classes.

Atm its clear mythic spend way too much time making destruction cool and completely ignored most of what made the order side cool in Warhammer and the game is suffering badly from it atm.

If the dest/order population cannot be fixed fast then it will kill the game.

"You are the hero our legends have foretold will save our tribe, therefore please go kill 10 pigs."

I agree, this 20% increase to servers is cool, but a quick fix and will not solve the Order situation (its only temporary anyways for how many days?)

If they want to make Order more appealing to the masses, then make Order a 20% renown / pve xp indefenite or give us our cut classes. Give people a reason to choose Order over Destruction and maybe we will have a game.

For now there is really no appeal on playing Order, except if you like being the underdog and you like going agaist the masses.

Destruction by far got the best looking armor and weapons in the entire game.

    Anyways, sorry for the rant..

Halberds can be considered by definition any two-handed weapon when the handle is considerably longer then the blade, in some cases body-length. In most modern cases a generic axe is arm-length, the blade is considerably larger in size, and the handle is only slightly longer in length. Most weapons are defined by the way you hold them and their size, not by the actual blade, which I find quite interesting.

As for the OP; yes, I somewhat agree. I mean, it isn't a reason not to play the game, but I do miss the Black Guard considerably. He was the class I was considering to play. A melee-focused tank that you describe sounds great, though I'm probably one of the few who know what you mean as there haven't been too huge of a crowd that have ever even played the CoX games.

Should expand the "expected" abilities. More diversification.

Oops thinking of the wrong class.

Black Guard was supposed to use the same grudge mechanic as the Iron Breaker i believe.

In WAR its called a halberd.  When you think of Halberds you think of Spears with an ax on the end.  The whole thing should be taller then you (whatever character you play).

Aren't they? I thought the white lion's weapon was longer then their bodies, then again I don't play one and haven't even been interested in making one.

I got one and if it was that long you shouldn't be able to grab it near the bottem end and near the top by the blade.  :)  I believe when he puts it down it comes up about chest high.
