A notion on Item durability;
I thought it would be So interesting with the durability factor now part of the game. If Blizzard made it possible for not only venders to repair weapons and armor, but to have artesian blacksmiths who have specialized in armour or weaponry to be able at some level to repair also. What do you think?

I believe Bliz may not allow crafters to repair gear because they wish to keep equipment degradation as a pure money sink. I undersand their reasoning. However I do feel that allowing crafters to repiar gear would help to stimulate the player economy and possibly create an increase in the number of crafters in the game. This increase in the number of crafters would be a money sink of sorts as well. Crafers will inevitably spend money trying to skill up.
I am a dedicated crafter in every MMO game I play. I know how hard it can be to get a crafter to a high skill. I believe that Bliz should allow crafters to repair gear as a reward for achieving a high skill level. Maybe only high skill blacksmiths can repair weapons and high skill tailors can repair armor or something similar to that. Do not make one crafting type be able to repair everything. That would cause an imbalance in the number of crafters in one type of crafting.
A very good point I had not considered how it would affect the other craft skills. But it does bring other possibilities to mind, maybe the necessity of a portion of the items ingredients could be required. ie; leather from skinning, metal from mining, cloth from tailoring etcetera That could put another spin on the world economy.
