Bright wizards vs Sorcerers

this is going to be a on going debate over maybe the next few months as to why and which class comes out on top for being the best to play and why.
as for me i love sorcerer , simply because they deal with dark /cold magic and they are of the dark elfs. and ever since baldurs gate i've come to know and love all things drow !!!!
now when i see a bright wizard i think to myself , poor guy thinks he can take me in a 1v1 fight. so what i do is let out a laugh and let them nuke me 2 times.
why you might ask ? , to make it a challenge , cause all of the times when it comes to a 1v1 fight i win simply because they just out damage every other class in the game . not to bost or anything , allthough it sounds like im doing that right now. but it is a mere fact. sorcerer are the biggest damage dealers, plain and simple. now as to why they are, its because of the backlash from their nukes, and when playing a toon that has a chance to hurt itself when fighting and increases damage output when it gets built up and bigger chance to get hurt aswell, thats why they are allowed to have the biggest nukes.
now are sorcerer challenging ? you bet they are, simply made of paper ,

Its funny how my BW kick Sorc ass not only in RVR but also 1v1. They don't stand a chance when it comes to BW's damage. Maybe the ones you came acroos didnt increase there stats as needed or chose a wrong path of mastery skills.
What kind of idiot would let a Bright Wizard nuke him two times? A sorc would be dead by then. This has got to be some kind of joke topic.
Edit: It's a well known fact that BW's and Sorcs are mirror classes, but BW's are slightly better.
Rain of fire alone is enough don't even need to nuke him twice.
I have my int and elelmental resist stacked.. Takes 2 bright wizards to kill me :P Course I dont just stand there and let them have line of sight either.. LOL

I wonder if the OP is joking or if he is really unaware of the fact BW have the SAME EXACT MECHANIC as sorcerer(es). At least Male BW does not look very fruity with their silly dresses and way to move, I swear Mythic just copy pasted the animation for the female sorceress in the case of the sorcerer.

The ability to give +20% to the rest of the groups damage gives the Sorcerer a leg up in the only part of the game that matters.
BW definately seem to have a fetish for their AOE. I'm thinking its more effective than the Sorc's one as you basically kill yourself in 5 hits without heals.

The only thing different between the 2 classes is that bright Wizards look and sound retarded while sorcoress looks sexy and doesn't make annoying ass squeaking noises everytime they perform an action.
I can't stand both classes since they both spend more time hurting themselves than their enemies.
Another bonus for sorc is the fact they resemeble a witch elf from a distance. If a witch elf has a cape and runs side by side with a sorc, it is hard to tell the difference.
I started playing the Sorcerer and then i tried the BW.
I found that i enjoyed the animation of the fire more than the blood or what ever the Sorcerer uses.
For example the BW's fireball's have smoke coming off them.
As someone said above BW are highly visible whereas Socrcerers are hard to spot, which is in the favour of the sorcerer.
Last night in a scenario I was fighting a BW and he was lvl 2 and i was level 6 (yeah i know we are both level 8) and he kicked my ass so bad. I through everything at him and i only had him down about 70% and I was dead. So yes the damage of a BW is much higher then the sorc.
hey just curious, what class do you play? I play a discple and hate getting killed by those casters. So you say if I raise my int and elelmental resist it will help?

BWs do Elemental and Corporeal damage, so increasing those stats will help you.
Doubt INT will help you, other things that will help you are
Wounds = higher HP
Toughness = Reduce damage from melee and magic and
Initiative = Reduce crtis on you and chance to evade.
.. The sorcerers AOE at 21.. is KILLER. in the intial attack (at mourkain temple) I can do 20k damage.. But I have to stand there when I do it.
BW's can do their damage on the move. That's what makes them such a threat. they don't have to stand there and take hits.. and they also get a knockback. sorcerers get a disarm at 20 which is nice.. 1 second cast.. lasts for 5 with a 30 second cool down. Decent spell..
BW's are over powered because of their dots.. That's the only reason..
