My favorite band is HIM (His Infernal Majesty). I, my friend, and my brother strongly agree that this is the best band there ever was and ever will be. You know... if you like that kinda music...

favorite band for me would have to be Incubus by far... been listening to them ever since S.C.I.E.N.C.E and havnt really stopped since...
anyways aside from them i would have to say I Mother Earth... Canadian band, fairly popular out here, not sure about in America though...
then probably TOOL then APC fallowed by Static-X...
i like alot of other bands too but these 5 tak up more of my rock playlists then anyone else... keep in mind though, rock still isnt my absolute favorite genre... if this was a "favorite atist" thread you would see me voting alot differently

They have an album out called The Big Eyeball in the Sky and you will be able to download every one of their shows from the tour that they are currently still on soon from either Les Claypool's website or C2B3.com I would highly reccomend this to anyone that likes funk, rock, primus, just crazy crazy music, or anyone that just likes virtuosos. They improvise a lot during their shows, they're first series of shows together a couple of years back were purely improvisational; the very first show they played together Les and Bernie Worrell had never even played together (this was at the first Bonnaroo festival) anyway, I'll shutup now..lol u know how music is.

I really don't want to point out individual bands, but I can say that my favorite genres of music have to be goth, industrial, idm, Drum n' Bass, and ambient think Cold Meat Industry not trance techno.
I think some of my all time favorites have to some of the early innovators such as Bauhaus, Christian Death, Specimen, Skinny Puppy, Ministry, Controlled Bleeding, Death in June, Throbbing Gristle, etc.
