1. You posted that the servers would be down from 2am - 2pm... it's 9:30pm. You are 7 HOURS overdue.
2. Why the hell would you try to patch 1.2g?? Seems like someone is scrambling to compete with the success of WAR (yeah, the game you ripped your ideas from).
3. Your website AND forums are both inaccessible! So how do we find out what's wrong with the game??
With the 1.2 BILLION dollars you made last year, funny how none of that went into make the technology of the game better. Oh well, fortunately I have a WAR account. Guess I'll go play a game that's up AND running.

Dude your so stupid. Just uggggg why even post dumb ass? World of Warcraft is just fine....yeah servers are down they did alot. War and WoW aren't even competing....because warcraft is on a different level from every other game it just is and deep down everyone knows that. I think it will be awhile before anything comes around that will take my interest completly from warcraft and I don't even play much anymore. So yeah just go away no one wants you in the wow forums.
Though i play WAR as well....pretty immature to come to the WoW forums to post your rant and promote WAR, people who do that lose all credibility.

If you're that upset over a game patch taking too long, then you need to step away from the keyboard for a while dude.
3.0 isn't just a pre-expansion patch, it's a game patch for the original game for people who have chosen not to play the expansions. Technically, it's not just a patch, but a complete game update if you've read the notes. Go watch a movie or something dude, seriously. It's just a game, it might be down right now, but it will be here tomorrow, and the next day, and the day after that, for many years to come.

4 years blizzard has been runnin a mmog patchin has always been a problem for them does not matter if its a 3mb or a 1 gb patch they always manage to screw something up they are the Funcoms of the mmog patch world :=P

Somewhere around Rule No. 10 in the How to Play MMORPGs rule book is the rule: Never Play on Patch Day.
As for their website and forums being hard to access? That is because all the people that would be playing if it weren't Patch Day are all trying to access them all at the same time. In other words, this is the standard operating procedure for just about any MMORPG going.
Of course, players bitching about the SOP of MMORPG companies is the SOP for players of them.
This was expected. Status is on the login screen incase you cant figure that out. Still not as buggy as WAR lol
Actually earth. If you will recall the same or similar issues arose during to 2.0 patch. Blizzard knows what they are doing. You should also remember that there servers are under an extreme amount of pressure. Obiviously you realize how many accounts are attempting to log or are online. It puts a strain on any server.
I also do believe that by mid-November you'll see a fairly smooth beginning for WotLK. There will be lag on all servers..count on it! That will be the norm for about a month until folks move on to other areas.

Agree with this but im a wow player but im glad someone from War isnt agreeing with this for once this isnt a fight just play the game you want to play since there both really well created

To clear things up; I'm not advertising for WAR, just making a point that Blizzard (and yes I'm a fan) could have done a way better job of implementing this patch. Sorry, but 17 hours deep into a patch means that something is not working right on their end.
Say what you what you will, flame me I don't care; bottom line is that this patch is a major screw up. And really, Blizzard couldn't wait a few more weeks to ship this content with the box? There's only one reason why, and you all know what it is....
WoW is an awesome game, but when you have competition breathing down your neck, you only get so many chances to do it right.

I find your post hard to believe, Jestor. Being that you were able to post a few minutes after me. And besides, no need for personal attacks; if your wife is that hot then log of these forums...
1. The servers are coming back up at 2pm PST. Thats on the west coast of the United States, so the time zones play a big factor there.
2. A 1.2gig patch is not that big of a deal. They don't need to compete with WAR, I'm sure the 10.5 million people who play WoW are enough of a user base for them to have no worries at all.
3. I have no problem accessing their website, but yes you are correct on the forums part. Whenever I have trouble logging onto their servers, I also cannot access the forums. That is a LONG standing problem that should have been addressed long ago. I do agree with you on that part.

Fanboi much? Eq1 had no compeition for 4-5 years either just like Blizzard has had Hows EQ1 look now ?
