Grats man, hope you enjoy it.

As far as underdog, Order is usally outnumbered in total server pop (Due to Destro looking cooler) but as far as skilled players, I would say equal on both sides.

If you wanna tank, Swordmasters are better then people say ( I am a swordmaster and there pretty dang good)

Ummmmm, patching, alot has came out since its official release, so that may take time.

But have fun man. Its really a quality game as long as you are not expecting a "perfect"mmo.

    Enjoy : )

I was just like you when I got the game.

Then came bugged out quests, the atrocious animations, the lack of community, ridiculous population imbalance, the post-T2 grind, the queues on high-population servers and utterly deserted world on low-population ones, the broken and insanely annoying crafting system, the fact that everyone is grinding scenarios leaving real RvR mostly empty (on SOME servers), the as-yet broken endgame, the laughably screwed up class pets, the mobs that deal damage without the accompanying animations, the keeps that get retaken in a matter of minutes by whoever's zerging, the fact that your toon looks like basically everyone else in your class.

You know what? I still like this game a whole lot. In spite of the above. Why? Because the game has a lot of great ideas. BIG ideas for what the endgame COULD look like. In six months I can see all of this being sorted out and I will be back then.

Don't come in expecting everything to be polished. Try a few different classes and then decide whether you like it enough to keep playing through the first few glitchy months. As for me, I'm going to WOTLK for now - then when the above get sorted out I'll be back.

I offer my condolences.  The game was rushed and is below average for what the already populated MMOs offer.

Well I hope you are not bumping into same tech issues as my self and a host of other people. Good luck.

First of all, go to www.warhammeralliance.com -forums. There you will get more accurate information than here. As you can see, 4 out of 5 answers here are from people that don't play games. They just lurk these forums and pretend to be gaming gurus.

    Ok, to answer your question.

    1. You should roll Order and a healer, if it suits your style in any way. Those are most needed, at least here in Europe.

    2. Don't go grinding scenarios. They are fun for about 2 hours a day max, but if you do them more you get the grinding feeling. Mixture of PvE, RvR and Scenarios keep grinding feeling away.

    3. Roll on OpenRvR. The game is full of safe havens called warcamps and there's actually no chance for griefers to do their stuff.

Would agree that Order is probably the better choice in terms of realm balance.

Not sure sure about the healer thing. On my Server there are actuall too many healers and what is really needed are DPS classes like White Lion (frontload melee with pet).

I think you will have to make up our own mind about that and possibly already have.

Dont listen to most of the posters here as they are just people with no game to play since they bash every one that has a forum. Warhammer alliance has a much more informative website as a previous poster stated.

I would reccomend trying several classes to level 8-10 to get a good feel for each. Some classes start off slow but get pretty good by about that level. Order would be the underdog in open RVR but seems to do well when the numbers are even.

Also dont limit yourself to one racial pairing its great to hop to each one and the stories are great I personally find the dwarf one to be my favorite. If you go destruction the greenskin has quite a few laughs as well. Good luck and have fun

Order is the best side if you don't want to wait for scenario's and usually needs a boost.   Game is great fun and I would disagree totally with some of the previous posts stated the game is in a unfinished state and extremely buggy.  I've played most of the major MMorpgs and this one has far fewer problems at release than most.  As for the class you want to play, play the one that interests you the most!  I've played most classes and they all seem different and fun.  I haven't seen a gimped or overpowered class yet.  On our server tanks for order seem to be in short supply, but I'm betting others have other shortages.  The game isn't perfect (haven't seen one yet that is) and if your expectations aren't unreasonable, then I'm betting you will enjoy this game over the others available as I have...enjoy!

Ok I rolled on this server called Wolfenburg.  I decided to go with the Warrior Priest since I liked him in the cinematic trailers over the last few years and that I never played a healing class.

I've encountered some bugs int the game already, some annoying some I could care less about.  Other than that the game is ok as far as graphics, I wish it had it's own AA option to get rid of the jaggies that I got.  Will post more tomorrow, I'm going to bed now.

Logging out takes about 20 seconds.  If you use the keyboard or click the mouse it will stop the logout procedure.  There is a way to force Antialiasing but I don't know the specifics

Thank you for proving my point and providing information which had none so ever value to the OP.

How about you find yourself a new hobby, because this one isn't very productive. If you're playing this game, please help the OP by providing the information asked. If you choose to play some other game, maybe you should let this forum go and add something valuable there?

I came up with an analogy about the likes of you:

A person is asking for a way to get to the Statue of Liberty.

You give this answer: "You don't want to go there, it's made by frenchmen. It doesn't have the most advanced fire extinguishing system or fastest elevator to get you to the top floor. And it only has 30 floors and 2 of them is out of order."

Then you continue, because once started why stop. "You want to go to the Empire State Building. It has great ornaments and massive potential to be the next big thing, not to mention it's fabulous 31st floor. That's where you want to be, see."

welcome to the forum of crying.

order can always use more melee, and destruction needs more sorcs and healers.

Played the game for a while now and I will not be resubing.  A little annoyed at losing the 54 dollars and change on this game since I can pretty much say I will never resub.  Too many bugs, too thin of a population. Scenarios quickly become a chore and stop being fun, never had that problem with the BG's in wow, they always seemed to be fun no matter what. Tried to do PVE to change it up but nobody does PQ's, waiting for somebody to do the same chapter PQ's reminded me of the long long times spent in FFXI looking for group. The only quest grinding I can do is all by myself and I can do that in other games without paying the monthly fee.

Got in a big guild didn't help much at all, except everybody talking about how great this game is and how much wow sucked (couldn't see their point of view). Got on a high pop server too, that helps none at all, it seems like you're all alone and by yourself at all times.

I will not go into further detail because I will just echo what all the other people that quit already said.  This game to me is just a bunch of meaningless empty rinsing and repeating.  Stops being fun fast.

I could easily come up with 10 postive posts for every negative one you find there -- but I would like to think I have better things to do with my time.

your guild is right -- wow does suck.  anyways, I am sure you realize that I do not believe you really bought the game and have an account.  If you did, prove me wrong.  Log into Eerie Downs and send Tyvolus on Order side some mail.  Just say Hi this is f1seb.  I am sure I wont be reading your mail my friend.  Nice try though.

This is a very wrong forum to get correct information. This place is full of whiners and complainers. You should try warhammeralliance forums for correct information. Good luck and please stay away from this forum.

So I logged in and created a char named Foneseb since I could not put numbers in my name.  Had to grind a stupid quest to fulfill your stupid request but after all that guess what? When I pressed the send button on the mail the damn mail would not go out, an annoying bug!!

So here I just presented you with some of the screenshots of my last adventure in WAR.
