By popular demand we have added a new forum category for Reclamation.  We have been told by Lyra Studios that they will be frequenting these boards...so if you have questions about the game please post them!  If you have suggestions feel free to use the new "Suggestions" board.

I believe posters in here will be part of the Reclamation "beta fairy" contests - excellent posts could mean a beta account for you!

    Allow me to give you a short introduction to Reclamation

     

    This is a new MMORPG from Lyra studios soon to go into Beta. When I say RPG you of course know it to mean role playing game, but this is beyond what you usually know as roleplaying. These days they call it RPGs when you in truth have no or little ways of affecting the story or the environment is cursed by people breaking the feeling by making reference to things out of character. (the infamous football resaults in the middle of you trying to Roleplay)

    This is roleplaying at a whole other level. In reclamation you're able to forge your own story as well as greatly influence the story of the game, truly control masses of people. The entire game is focused more on inquiring, politics, scheming. You are to make allies as well as enemies and play it out in the roleplaying environment which is Reclamation. Make your character and define what they believe in, what they want to hold true, then preach it, fight for it, recruit others to tae on your group's faith. The possibilities are near endless.

    Even the major way of advancing is set to interaction between players, as you may attain the station of "teacher" which allows you to grant magic spells and skills to other players as rewards for deeds done. You are then able to forge another player's experience by assigning them missions instead of doing automated quests that are the same every time. This fosters roleplaying and makes sure it stays unique and that what you do holds a meaning.

     

    In reclamation, YOU are the story, all you got to do, is make it, and play it

    Wow! Holy cow this game sounds awesome! I am an avid MMORPG'er and cant wait to give this a try! I love the thought of an MMORPG where you are actually involved in the story line.. and no im not talking about second life... This game is definetely on the top of my interest list!!image

    I've been a advid player of Underlight sense it's inital release in the late 90's. Almost all of the die hard UL'ers are waiting for the beta to go live in an attempt to see where the next generation is headed.

    If some of us are lucky, we'll get into beta. image

    WOOHOO!!! RECLAMATION!!!

    Sorry, had to get that out of my system.

    So when exactly will beta be starting? I seem to remember hearing something about "before 2005" but I also seem to remember a hot one night stand with Heather Graham and Cameron Diaz so I could be wrong. There probably isn't any set date.

    Oh yeah, is Brent Phillips still involved with Lyra Studios and Reclamation? (Phillips is the man! ...but not the man keepin everyone down, the cool one.)
