I played WAR in beta, and I wasn't completely turned away but I wasn't exactly all excited for launch. The major issue I noticed was the fact that I would lag sometimes, even if i looked into the sky and ran. I have 3.2ghz (single core) cpu, 3gb ram, and an ATI x1950 so I couldn't understand the lag.
My questions are...
1) Since the updates, is the game better than beta?
2) And does this game remain fun without playing with real life friends, or people you know well? My best friend and my sister, both quit the genre after WoW TBC.
Waiting for:
Blizzards Next MMO in 2014, lol

I didn't play the beta, but My pc is speced at 3.7 dual core, 2.0 gig ram, Nvidia 8800 512 OC and I rarely get lag, but I have a very good broadband connection. As for the solo play, I only group for RVR and Pub Quest, I love this game, solo play is awsome. I played DAoC since the release and loved it, this feals just like it, only better.
i'd say your best bet for success is to make sure to join a very well populated server, cross your fingers and hope. pve is difficult because you essentially have to solo everything and basically most of it is designed to be completed in groups. so you just grind.
because of this most people just do senerios (battleground pvp) but i've waited in queue for over 4hrs with not one senerio popping for me. in the end there are many nights i never get any pvp this way befor logging out.
warhammer has been a fail in my experience so i cancelled my accoount. it's obvious that others are having a great time, but it's also obvious that many other people are having a similar experience as i am.
so it seems it's kind of a gamble with warhammer. so...do you ya feel lucky? well...do ya?!@!
