i went to the bazaar at rome today and i met gambler de mere. i got pretty curious so i decided to try my luck at exchanging equipment boxes since i also have some left over from the sea palace. out of 9 sea king equipment boxes only one of them got exchanged for an insect box.

lesson learned: curiosity angered the cat.

well anyway, has anyone had better luck with the gambler?

whats the saying, the odds are with the house?

I gambled away like 250 spirit boxes, and got back about 50 upgraded boxes in return

I changed 273 spirit boxes, and got 25 insect boxes. Then again, I got lucky and exchanged 6 insect boxes and got an osiris box, which costs arounf 700-800k for the item inside. It's really all by chance, so I have no idea what the exact number is.

Odds are extremely low. If you're not having a huge overflow of boxes, then don't. I don't know if the odds are constant for every type of equipment box. After Insect Equipment boxes, the items become more valuable though.

okay. i never do learn.

i tried again but after six failed boxes, it really is low. very very low.

maybe there are boxes with higher 'exchange rates'..

Judging from the numbers, you have something like 10~15% chance of succeeding, meaning 1 box in 10, and you're not even sure you'll get one. I gues the only boxes worth gambling for profit are just up to insect boxes. After that you will suffer considerable loss unless you're darned lucky.
