okay so I have been one of the many haters who have hated flameswords and lightning spears for their lack of use inbattle.. I recently found out that at at level 20s - 30s they don’t deal as much damage,, the only use I found for them was for destroying unreachable flying mosters... but now i heard from a friend that its worth it to invest on skillboks as once you pull it up level 40s the damage difference will start to matter...
One day i did it and now im converted.. the skills ladies and gentlemen are well worth the money you spend for buying them darn expensive books.
This is a good tip for low level players to not get discouraged with the skills of their mercs.. eventually as you level it up the skills will be awesome and it will be quite impt in pulling you through hard boss fights as your reach the 50s

That is true, keep the Swordy since they also have a big shield to boot aside form a high dark seed and flame sword which at high level can give high damage up front.
As for the spearman(upgraded to a higher grade that is) the lighting spaer gives massive damage specially after a magic guard down scroll(i can't remeber the spell name of that scroll and i'm too stuborn to look it up in the game info.
Ah i remember it now. The scroll of mana piercing. ^-^ Yehey!!!!
In any case, they are worth it til they retire. rofl
