    This is an awesome video, griffons are way better in EQ2 then in WoW.

    i'll agree on the EQ2 vs. WoW thing... EQ2 graphics > WoW by far... anybody who says otherwise is either A. a complete WoW fanboy, or B. has only seen the crap EQ2 shots that WoW fanboys use in comparisons...

    honestly... this is completely un-biased... EQ2 graphics > WoW in practically every way...

    If you give someone who has a neutral impression on this games and is not a fanboi a tour of both worlds he would tell you that EQ2 graphics is miles ahead of WoW.

    But the big question is how much imprtance is graphics to a mmorpg?

    I have seen both now, WoW from personal experience and EQII at a friends house who was lucky enough to get a beta invite. Both games graphics have their strong points, although it did take me a while to appreciate WoW's. I thought WoW's sucked until I actually saw them in game, then I began to appreciate them. While I thought they looked too cartoonish from the screenshots, once I saw them ingame I saw how they are perfect for the game.  EQII's screeenshots, even the official ones do not do that game justice either. They are amazing to put it mildly, even on a mid range machine and card.

    I say to heck with the screenshots since anyone can make them look as good or bad as they want to. Wait until you see them in person to judge. My current plans are to try both games and see which game/community sucks me in after release. Oh and my personal choice on the graphics if I had to choose just one would be EQII, now if I could just get a beta invite :)

    What kind of computer do you friend have? And did Eq2 run smoothly?

    grafix wise eq2 blows WoW away.

    Its 2 completely different styles of graphix. EQ2 tries to be as real as possible with a higher polygon count ( which sux imo ) and WoW sticks to the Warcraft style.

    I like WoWs style a lot more, other people like EQ2 graphix more. Its just opinion based, get over it.

    Shouldnt this be in the official WoW Vs. EQ2 thread btw? ::::35::

    I really do think that people who say that WoW is better in graphics say that just because they dont want to admit EQ2 is better then that game any way at all. Besides look how gloomy WoW looks in most all of the areas. I hate dark worlds.

    It's a fact that EQ2 wins with raw polygon count and reflections in the water etc. but you are forgetting about one very important thing. Good art, nothing that I saw in the EQ movies made me think "Wow that looks really cool" and not even the boring griffon ride made me think that. Griffons in WoW look more like griffons should look like, with the big white feathers on the front and a real eagel head etc.
    Another important thing is humor imo. And Blizzard has tons of that! ::::24::

    OK kids this is how it is... EQ2 graphics are more realistic... WoW graphics are true to the Warcraft look and feel. The poll question is "Which do you prefer". I prefer WoWs graphics over EQ2's. It just has a nice feel to it. THOUGH I did not play the EQ2 beta yet SO my mindset may change.

    So if you say EQ2 graphics are better than WoW's , you must be talkin about realism... and EVERYONE will agree EQ2 looks "better" than WoW.

    My choice for graphics I enjoy more = WoW
    My choice for graphics that are more Realistic = EQ2 hands down.

    EQ2's graphics are great, but I believe Blizzard purposely made their models look the way they do for to keep it close to the original Warcraft series of games. EQ2 does have the better looking models, though.

    Well put. I do agree that its all a matter of opinion, I just wanted to see who prefers what game more.

    Which do you prefer the WoW uneven edges and polygonal towns? Or the waxy everquest 2 characters and the great towns?
    That makes my fanboy senses tingle ::::22:: gotz to make an argument then :P

    The graphics for both games are on two totally different scales. It has been said before, and I will repeat it once more.

    WoW graphics are based solely on the Warcraft series. It was not made to be realistic.

    EQ2 is more realistic looking. That is what they tried to do.

    They are both equally done well, due to their expectations.

    I hate the graphics for both games but I'll be playing them both anyways.

    EQ2 = to clay like
    WoW = to cartoony

    IN MY EYES, I like Guild Wars graphics the best. This statement does not require the flaming of others, read my sig.
