So are the drops level based or map based? In some games items drop from any monster as long as it belongs to the level the item drops. In others some items only drop from certain maps or monsters... It looks like the items are more monster based but sometimes

i'm also not pretty sure about this.
it's just that some drops also tend to be pretty peculiar. like snails dropping leather and fur. haha.

i think drops are monster based but thats my opinion though... what i do know is that drops are based on what quest you are working on and craft or quest items needed by players opposite to your level.. meaning, if drops are useless to you at this stage, more often than not once you level up you will needing those drops again sometime in the future as the game tends to pormote a dynamic money market ecnomy. high level players use their money to buy noobs loots
Yes, I believed that the item drop will base on the quest you currently doing. So, it might be the basis for the drop items. Well, besides to the boxes commonly drop by the monster. It has a peculiar drop feature. That is why you won't have any idea on what will you get fof any monster.
I believe the system uses monster based drop rate. The reason that i believe it as is is simply because of the game info-> Item Info.
You will see there that for certain items, there is a list of mobs and the level range for the mats.
Now you will then move to your monster info to check on the location of the mob.

I also read from other sources that there are items which may drop only in certain maps and there are also drops from monsters with certain levels. Enchant boxes for example are level based and not monster based. Anyways thanks for the answers.

You can see how the monster drop if you have the mosnter info... it is classified as low, medium and high.. so if you are planning to farm just check their mosnter info... anyway geeting monster info is very easy in this game you can ask other players to send you the info...
