Book exchanger in Rome

Anyone know whats up with the book replacement in the NPC in rome?? Some said the proper strategy to employ is to exchange the books one by one so as not to screw up the whole books.. Although some would say it doesn’t matter, I can exchange books all at the same time and regardless of what number, luck will still prevail and some books would go be successfully exchanged
from my experience i exchanged 15 books in rome all at the same time and i got nothing...

Umm... most probably, the one you are selling is the box replacement system not the books. The books you have can only be replaced by Goncourt who is a traveling merchant. This Goncourt guy who exchanges books with a thousand gold can be tracked down through Livingston, an NPC right outside Bucharest.
Now back to the Box exchange system in Rome with Gambler De Mere, from my experience i never got a zero possibility by exchanging 5 boxes at a time, that is 5 boxes at a time though. My friends gamle around more and they end up always getting boxes which is for a higher level. So most probably, you were just unlucky that time.
I even try 1 at a time before then i got tired so i exchenge 5 at a time.
In any case, hope you get more in the future.
I prefer trading boxes in groups of 100+. I think people are just wasting their time trading 1 box at a time.
True. The odds are the same anyways. It's just a matter of luck and mustering up that courage to put in 100 instead of 1 in that dialogue box. Spirit boxes won't hurt, Dark Knight boxes would. A Hundred of em of still useful.

You can just go to goncourt and exchange the books that you are be needing in the future... in exchanging books to goncourt you will recieve like a random box that you get a random books.. it is like opening box that you get from the game...
