I think that would depend on how well players feel about it when it comes out. I don't know, maybe in the time it takes to produce the game, people will lose interest in wow. its way to soon to be making any predictions.

Do you think the release of swtor will impact the number of people that play wow?
Personally i doubt it, it might draw some people to try it but from my understanding and after years of forum spam by WoW players all i can say is, if it does i hope it's the sensible WoW players and not the "it's a WoW clone" crowd and other such stupid/simplistic players of WoW. I know WoW contains some good players who are mature and actually decent people, If SW:TOR does effect the WoW numbers i hope it's those people.
I don't think the impact on WoW will be great, but all refugies from SWG will try out SWTOR, and there are some of them that play WoW, until a better MMO comes out ... like SWTOR hopefuly

It will have about double the impact of War on WoW. I predict that SW:TOR will lauch with over 1 million (A Smedley Goal , hehe - he going to have to bank on DCUO now) players and they have to come from somewhere. SWG-NGE only has about 20k , the other 80K has to come from WoW, War ,Darkfall and any other popular MMO at that point in time.

WHO CARES!!!!?!?!?????
The question should be " will it be a good game?" Not if it will reduce numbers from another game.

Yes. It is virtually guaranteed that at least one person will stop playing WoW for at least one day when TOR is released.

To answer your questions, yes SWTOR will be the end of WoW and life on this planet as we know it.
LOL the way these former SWG vets talk you'd think they had 11 million players too........
