ever get the feeling that war is very peacefull ?
is it me or do the servers seem very la de da in warhammer when you go to a rvr zone ?
i wonder why that is ? , in daoc you went to a rvr zone you were bound to see people, well , at least in thidranki , and molvik , but you were going to see them.
what is it about mythic ? they promis a game where they say you will "feel" like war is every where . and what do i see ? a rabbit playing hop scotch, a high elf riding his pony, and in most places,. entire pq's barren, not a single player to be seen.
but as soon as i hit the scenario button, boom a message pops up, Your EXP Ticket is Ready !!!!
wana hop aboard ? yes
no
give me a min
and then you are thrusted into a world that has some good players , some bad players and some ugly players , and then each side has a pillow fight for about 10 mins, and then everyone goes on their merry way. while im back at the rvr zone looking at a keep guarded by the order and i could stand out there killing guards all day and not get bothered with a order player showing up to fight me.
i hear about how mythic is going to fix this, but take a look at the other game , daoc, did they fix that ? nope, so what makes you think they will fix warhammer ? just because its a new game ? mythic has 4 more days of my time. or eles its on to another mmo

Dude change your server, the server I play on has people everywhere and war is everywhere, it's freaking AWESOME!
PLAY WURM ONLINE!! www.wurmonline.com
I'd try changing your server, It wasn't until i found a good full server, that i really started to enjoy the game, up until then it was all a bit meh.
I play on the Burlok (EU-RP) server (population is med/med). Generally speaking you are not expecting to see too much PvP action on an RP server. Nevertheless there is action to be had every day of the week (weekends mostly). Now how is this possible.....
Lets take some points under consideration. Scenario's are easy to join. Press a button and you're there within minutes. RvR does not work this way unfortunately. One need's to organize it a bit or at least show some initiative. There were several situations I witnessed where keep sieges were taking place and not even a warband was formed (mindless zerging in other words)
People need to take the time and organize stuff if they want to see things happening (and its not that time consuming). Yesterday we formed a group of 3 people to attack a keep (of course you cant take a keep with 3 people). An open warband invitation and some posts in the Regional channel later and we had 20 people going within 20 minutes. This resulted in us taking the keep without any oposition. We moved to take the next keep. Suddenly 30 people were waiting for us in the next keep and all hell broke loose (all this happened on a weekday).
One word folks. Initiative.
Use the calendar in your guild (not only for RvR purposes btw). Use the regional channels. Use the RvR channels. Ask around if anything is happening in any other place of the world.
If one really wants RvR, one can definately have it. The problem is, do people really want RvR or do they want instant battlegrounds (oops.... scenario's) including all the relative rewards with the press of a button.........
20 minutes that many of us dont have to spare. And I agree that guilds and iniciative are the right tools at the moment. But, many people want to access content at the moment and dont want to wait. If the sub was free nobody would care, but 20 minuets of waiting is something many won't tolerate. These days, if people cant access the content when they want, it's a potential customer loss.
Developers should design content that people can access easily. That approach of making it difficult for players to access content is obsolet. If that's the way Mythic is thinking, then it's a shame. With so many MMOs out there, specially very good ones that are free, the cancel button for a monthly sub is a good option.
edit: I am not playing the game anymore but I suggest for the benefit of the players that are still in-game, start a new thread about guilds that schedule RvR and the time they are mostly online including server of course. Other than that, I don't see a solution at the moment for people that are about to cancel.
Allow me to disagree for a minute there mate,
I've said in the past that the best feature this game has presented is that they minimized downtime. You can see this in every aspect of the game. Now the 20 mins im refering to were not static. We weren't just waiting there for people to join. We attacked. Opened the warband invitation and people started rolling in. This is the big difference.
I remember in the past waiting in a city/village for 1 hour for that Warrior -Guardian (insert tank class)/ priest -minstrel (insert healing class) to show up. I remember wanting to travel from one place to the other and the whole journey took about 20 mins. These things minimized my gametime severly (and I'm on the same boat with you on that one, time is of essence). You couldnt do anything about that though.
In War its different. It's dynamic. You can start the war and people will join. Thing is people are waiting for someone else to do it for them (I dont blame them btw). People will start to learn how to take advantage of this game. I'm sure of it.
I agree with this one statement. Initiative is key in a new MMO. You will find that those who take it will become key leaders on there respective servers. The game is so new and with a relativly new concept for the majority of it's players that initiative is key. Also I think it is a generation gap. Alot of us who played older MMO's know in order have fun you need to make some fun. Most people will not and wait for others to do so for them.
find another server , been there , done that. still dose not work .
all this talk about initivie or planing to have fun , make some fun, i take it you never played daoc in its glory days .
first off the game is good for what it is. if you enjoy doing scenarios and nothing but scenarios , then you came to the wrong place , guild wars has it better !!!!!,
i was exspecting people all over the rvr zones, people batteling like they use to in daoc. but i dont get any of that. maybe once in a blue moon at a certain time in the day rvr will pick up, but for the rest of the time, it is empty.
this is a big no no to me, i want a game that is better then daoc in its glory days, not worse !!!!
and to me it just seem to be worse then daoc , cause hardly no one is rvring, and if they do , they see you , either engage till they realise they cant fight back and run away,
the run away tactic is meant for cowards, if you play a class that has to run away, then dont play at all.
