i always thought that 3000 golden tusks would become a byzantine elephant right away. until i saw this announcement..
If and when you acquire 3,000 Golden Tusks, you can then craft the Golden Elephant Statue. If you have that golden statue in your possession, then you can exchange it for something far more valuable: the Byzantine Elephant. With this mount you really can go far in the Atlantica world.
Atlantica's game masters will make the exchange with players who have crafted the Golden Elephant Statue. Players with the statue must find a GM, or else the GM will find the players with statues.
You have until Nov. 30 to get the elephant. So get going on the safari for more tusks. Announcements will also occur in-game periodically to remind players about this Elephant in the Atlantica room.

I also got that elephant tusk from the GM of Atlantica Online. I guess they give this because they were beaten by a player? But I only got 3 or 4 of them and I have used it a couple of times to increase the experience of my character and my mercenaries. I never thought that you should wait to accumulate this tusk up to 3000 and you'll get something from it.
