We hear a lot from MMORPG posters on Age of Conan, and we all think it's great

What is the point of this post? Of course the official AoC forums will be positive, every ounce of negativity or complaints has been purged out until only positive, every thing is perfect posts are left.
Then you throw a comment about WAR? What is it with AoC players and WAR? You have to justify why you believe AoC is better than WAR, do you see WAR players keep going on about AoC, no they don't give a f**k about AoC.
That is not really true, but most people who don't like the game have quited long ago. Why would anyone still pay for a game they don't like?
But I agree, WAR and AoC don't really run for the same playerbase anyways, and Wow is the game they both try to compete with.
I actually know quite a few that plays both games and enjoy them, the flame war between the games in this forum is stupid, they are not bad games but both could use a bit of more content. If I had a bit more spare time myself I wouldnt mind playing WAR also, but right now 1 MMO is all I have time for.
Honest commentary:
If (big if) I created a thread on the official forums (positive or negative) and then linked it here under the premise of honest discussion on the content of that thread; I would feel that the discussion would begin on an already disingenuous note.
Now if (big if) I came across that echoed my writing style and stated point of views by pure coincidence; then linked that post to a forum where the community is a mix of both active and inactive (recent or otherwise), I would expect that we will see the following happen in that thread:
As for me, every time I see someone invoke WAR, AoC or any other MMO title as a means to try to diminish or inflate the features/buy in of their game; I feel that the individual doesn't have cogent talking points to bring to the table.
They are not competing with each other, and they both need to succeed if we have any hope of having original MMO's come out in the future. If AoC fails with such a popular IP, and if Mythic fails with their IP, plus the backing of EA; that's bad news for everyone; especially gamers.
Back to your post and question: We are asked to comment on the following:

Not sure how much we can bring to that kind of topic honestly.

I edited my post after reading your comments. It was certainly not the intention to bring everything off topic by mentioning a different MMO (I just did because quite afew of the posts inside that thread was guys telling how they came to AoC via other games). It's edited and all good now.

However the 3.0 patch coming next week supposedly will take care of the content problem, so they just need to get those transfers and mergers in quickly and I think AOC will have more to offer then any other mmo on the market at this time.

Not true. The only post that get moved are ones that:
1) aren't about AoC so much as its about another MMO
2) Turn into flame wars
3) State that FC sucks and everyone in FC should die because of the faliure that is AoC (to varying degrees)
There are plenty of post that bash AoC and FC that are still on the AoC boards. These post tend to be left alone because they offer sound advice for turning the game around or state, in a clear matter rather than "i hate fc peace" why the person is leaving the game. The boards aren't as heavily moderated as people try to make them seem, they are just moderated when people don't abide by the rules

Yes an no. The full PvE content patch will come in stages and the first stage is the next patch. This will include half the culture armor, yamir's pass, part of the crafting update, and I think a level 80 zone. Patch 4 (end of nov) will finish it out completly or nearly so.

Yes all 30 people in that elite sect, much like the other guy who has FC hate forums with another 30 people. One just has to read the test forums to get a good direction of where the game is going.

So far the only thing I've seen on those pages is you guys whining over a topic that was done to death on the funcom forums months ago. That'll show em. All 6 of you guys should be awarded medals. In case you can't catch the sarcasm this is meant as sarcastic.
Consider a few things and then make an opinion.
Large companies have feedback forums for products, they also employ people to go on those forums and write reviews about their products, false reviews that make the product look good so the company that is paying for that, sells more of those units. Ask yourself if given all the lies and bs we've gotten from Funcom thus far, ask if it is beyond their integrity or credibility to do that.
I'd even wager a few of you punks on here are acutally from Funcom or being paid by them to shore up support and advertise here. Notice they don't Erling out there anymore because nobody believes in any of this bullshit, or any of you guys at Funcom, your name is toxic, your company nuclear waste, nobody wants any of your stock, nobody wants to partner with you, nothing. Yuck.
When you get past all that then ask where these features are...

Also consider that Funcom actively employs moderators to close the bad press posts and make them sink to the bottom of the forum stack every hour. A fun metric we should have moderators have to posts is how many posts are closed on the forum per hour.
You'd be surprised how many never make the light of day. Here at least they dont censor me, yet. So you get facts and the truth.

The truth is they have had 5 months to deliver stuff that should have been implemented before release, or shortly thereafter i.e. within 30 days. It has been 153 days since release. At this rate the war in Iraq is going to be over before Funcom gets this fucking game in a retail releasable condtion.

Hundreds of PVP if by that you mean 48 vs 48 = 96 = less than one hundred, I guess yea if your server has enough people still logging in to actually get a siege going.
Quote me here: Siege, on some of these servers, its kind of like a 95 year old guy trying to achieve an erection without viagra. Ok even with Viagra it would maybe be a challenge, but uh without well lets just say the ladies won't be impressed. Neither are players when they log into servers with total population figures under a critical mass, i.e. under 500 players. All of the severs are easily under 500 players peak log on, and the game simply cannot survive with servers with under 2000 total players playing on them actively.
FIX THE FUCKING GAME, DELIVER THE FUCKING CONTENT, STOP CHARGING FULL PRICE ALL THE TIME FOR LESS THAN A FULL GAME!

They actually did talk about it not too long ago. Was one of the first things Sillirion talked about. Said the build that GG had made up wasnt fun and they weren't going ot release. They still want to put the feature in but they have other issues that they are going to handle first.
Well i love AOC, i am having a really fun time playing it !
But ye, some stuff missing still etc.
But i still like this game alot !
It will improve alot more and new stuff will come, ye they are very slow. Why? i dont know atlest we have a new Game director and this guy is really good 100x times better then the old one "Guate" !
Well lets see if next patch will be great or not, atlest i think it will be AWESOME, alot of stuff !
To my understanding the Devs are working really hard atm, hope they will work even harder and ofc faster !

I will make up a more usefull post this weekend, where I will try to add more pictures and stuff. For now, let me just say that this game is awesome. Have you played Lost Planet or Heavenly Sword on Xbox 360/Playstation 3 recently? Well this is a MMO for a PC with Rawer graphics than those. My first response was WTFWTFWTF, this game is insane!!!!
I will give more comments on why I think that AoC is a 10/10 later this week once I got myself pushed to Lvl 45.
I just quit the game after 4 months. Sure they had some nice patches but the endgame was really boring. They need more content not bugfixes. Also server population was quite low even though I was on the most popular EU server, Aquilonia. AoC need more players and fast.
Next I'll probably try Darkfall if they launch it this year like they said.
Yepp... The game is getting love indeed and good patching. New content will roll in after patch 3.0. What character did you play?

instead of hating the game so much I wish people would realize that FC actually tried something different, did not quite succeed, but nowhere near the problems that people make it sound.
it is worth the 40 bucks even if you never subscribe and treat it as a single player game.

If you would stop posting the 10/10 thing over and over and over and over and over...in every thread no matter what the topic, you could have already posted something useful. Or are you waiting for someone to tell you what to write? Somehow I don't believe you have anything useful to say.
Instead of posting stupidity here, you could be helping folks on the AoC forums, there are a lot of people asking questions in the tech forum there. You could provide usefull suggestions in the suggestion area of the AoC forums, hang out with people that think the way you do, discussing all the ways that AoC makes you feel good. There is so much you could do to help, yet you choose not to, why?
You choose to spend all your time on the MMORPG forums marketing AoC, you have no interest in any other game but AoC, even when you post in the "general discussion" area, it is about AoC. If you love AoC so much, why do you hate the AoC community and the AoC forums so much, why don't you support the AoC community and post there rather than post inane drival here?
You aren't interested in being part of the MMORPG community, you are just marketing for Funcom, and doing a poor job.
Please don't wait till this weekend, you know so much about AoC, you should be able to write at least a couple of pages on the subject.
ahhh.... well... sorta i gues. I mean the one time I saw him get flamed was for his post about forum stats because it was total BS. I mean, honestly, new forum post don't include replies to threads. Also, the mods are on top of their game merging topics as of late. In one night I saw 3 post about the next patch with a min of 10 replies each, all about the same thing mind you, merged into 1 thread.
