Most exciting thing ingame so far for You?

So, curious to what You guys have experienced as the most exciting so far in the game that you have encountered?

For me it has to be the first public quest in dwarf land, i know its early but was the first "wow this is coool!" thing I reacted to. Running in there with 5-6 fellow dworfs and starting to do the tasks. Then the boss fight that included one dworf running around like a chased chicken and the rest of us after the boss guy. Was awesome and we all had a good laugh once the boss dropped. (Might be biased also, got the highest roll :) )

So whats yours?

crafting hands down, nothing beats crafting in WAR, no other game comes close to the well working crafting system and the usage you have of it. And that there are so many to pick from is often a problem,  but I am planning on having on char for each crafting so this game will never end for me as there are so many crafting things to master.

Well basically Crafting has a very good foundation but it was obviously tacked on quite late in development. It is simply not polished yet. Cultivating will obviously get a fix soon where you don't have to actually stare at the damn plant growing for the whole time and butchering/scavenging might get looked into as well.

I suppose we'll get at least two new crafting skills soon so we can have 4 gathering and 4 crafting skills, this being quite logical. My hunch is that those will be armorcrafting (buffing armor) and weaponcrafting (buffing weapons).

Crafting was probably quite low on the devs' list of priorities for launch. I'm sure it'll get proper attention later on. The important thing is that it is in-game, it is working and the basic mix-and-match mechanics are very sound. No worries there.

It's all been an amazing experience so far... i've never had so much fun in all the 10 years i've been playing MMOs.

But if i had to point out something, it'd probably have to be the look of the game. Everything just looks so COOL! My shadow warrior is looking so badass ;)

Yes, I miss the endless grind of leveling up Blacksmithing in WoW, farming huge amounts of ore, making my epic weapon (which was bind-on-aquire), only to find vastly better by farming the arenas and battlegrounds. Now that I think about it, just leave out crafting altogether, thanks.

I think mine above all others was when I realize what a neat system the Tome is.  I find myself reading my tome alot and wondering how I can unlock that next title or get something else in there.  It is a great source of fun and distraction for me. lol

for me i think it would be the pvp all around.  it is just so fun to me.  and the pq's.  if you can find a good group these can be alot of fun

I'm excited about the new region chats; we're already getting more active rallies for PQ's and open RvR with them. And the way the RvR keeps getting more epic every tier....T1 was a blast, T2 I saw the keeps and thought "Okay this is a fun concept." T3 battles with everyone riding out on their horses/copters, man, the scale goes from fun to just plain epic as you level.

And the amount of work Mythic keeps pumping into the updates....I'm loving it.

Daily world pvp and loads of people being at it. Something I could only dream off in WOW.

I like the classes myself. You have your basic elves shootin bows, but then you have the rifle toting grenade tossing dwarves. Good stuff.

Might want to put the "c" in exciting, as "exiting" means just about the opposite of what you appear to be asking for.

Closest thing to exciting ive had yet, was during a quest .The area had a VERY fast respawn, and i had to interact with a chest.

I cleared the area and moved in, and in the middile of the chest, respawn started. Before  i died i lost count of how many foes i killed,i used 3 of the same potion types (the rounded heal over time potions)and lost health at a steady pace.No idea how long the fight lasted, but it seemed a VERY long time.

Between respawn and patrols adding they just kept replacing and slowly adding to the number i was fighting.

I figured i was dead if i ran, as id have to run down a corridor (and thru 2 rooms) and draw even more mobs into the fight, and dead if i stayed, but it would be fun to see how long i could last....

For me, being a tank in a PvP arena where i can actually kill things and stop people attacking someone. Man those days of feeling useless in AV are so gone. Actually, seriously, i love that i can quest, PQ and PvP in the same small area and then move on. The graphics are mood setting and well conceived, the ambient sounds make sense and add to the perception of an area, the combat has rhythm and pace (for all it's bugs) and the keep sieges both defending and attacking are just fun.

As to hitting a boss and getting some loot, how often have you actually seen that? How often have you done the full PQ and got nothing, and then done it a couple of times more and got the persistance points and then won loot? Swings and roundabouts, sometimes you're on the top, sometimes you're on the bottom. Or are you one of those people who expect life to reward you with a tickertape parade for your every effort? God help your empoyer when you leave school and get one.

For me its got to be the scope of the open rvr areas. They are stunning @ max settings and make you think you are fighting for something.

If you are Chaos then the land is supposed to look wretched and decayed, death everywhere with an undertone of glee from the suffering of those who oppose the Raven host.

If you are Empire there is a paulpable tension in the air. There's always a bonfire burning to stave off the darkness. There are guards posted at every gate and patrols on every road. It's not uncommon to see an objective already engaged by npcs. You feel like you are just getting to the fight.

This game has a bit of an aura to it for me. I don't have to play every day to feel like I can compete, but I want to play as often as I can just to enjoy the atmosphere the game provides.

For me, it was playing a tank and actually being able to *defend* a ranged DPS class or healer by getting in the way of attackers.

Also there was the time playing the Nordenwatch scenario where my single Chosen was able to hold of the fortress bridge thanks to several healers behind me who stayed on their toes.

WAR is probably the first game I've seen where you can PUGs who actually work together (though you naturally get the clueless ones too, but when you find a good one, it's a great experience).
