Something new?

I don't know if some of you guys notice how the an ongoing battle looks like from a third-person perspective but when I was in the Forest of Spirits, I know that a player and a monster is in battle because two weapons (I think they are swords) appear on top of both of them. Now, I'm in the in the Yosun Temple, the player and monster turns into some sort of 'floating lantern' instead. Is this a new thing or the appearance of battles vary from one place to another?

hmm. it has something to do with your system settings.

    go to system>setting>graphics>character setting>battling avatar:

omit character output - totally does not display battling characters

use simplified character - 'floating lantern' display

print all - displays both characters with crosses on their head during battling

Oh! That's a game system settings! Haha! I'm really not into technical stuff so I rarely look on that part. Maybe my brother tweaked it when he was playing the game. The floating lantern does seem neat... Haha! Anyway, thanks!

Well, first I've observed it also before, the first time I saw a two chess like piece, I discovered that it is what we looks like whenever in a battle, but the last time before the event occur, you'll just see a cross sword. This might be a change on the setting of a battle system. I was shocked that there are such sprites even though they have a players name at my first enounter.
