It won't be any of them. They said it will be a totally new IP.

Really? Any chance you could provide a link where they say that?

    Thanks!

They never said anything about a new IP just that it won't be a WOW 2 but rather something new and innovative. With that said, I highly doubt it will have something to do with diablo or fantasy for that matter, I just don't see why they would compete with their own game.  I wouldn't be surprised if they chose a sci-fi setting  considering it will attract non-fantasy players and a direct competition to other sci-fi mmorpgs out there.. As if theres a lot anyway.

I hope for a new IP, and not High Fantasy or Sci-Fi. But then again, I do that every time I hear about someone making another MMOG. At least there Funcom is among my "good guys", with Sword & Sorcery (AoC) and contemporary mystery (Secret World). :-)

Bare this in mind: Blizzard haven't mind a non-fantasy or sci-fi game in over 10 years

It is a new IP. I wounder if they realise the potential for a more open world game? If it was made by Blizz people would buy it just because of that.

i think most sci fi fans hate blizzard enough that they would know better than to try tapping that. sci-fi is way more cerebral than anything blizzard is capable of marketing.

    just food for thought.

maybe they will make an extreme sport mmorpg...that they could probably pull off.

and yea, i am a blizzard hater, always have been. mtv and pop radio are also on my hate list.

Blizzard make great games and we know their new mmorpg will be great seeing as they cancel anything that isn't.

Except for the highly anticipated Starcraft 2 that is being eagerly awaited by drones of avid fans.

    Thanks for the links!

"So is Blizzard’s new MMO going to be sci-fi, near-future, post-apocalyptic or historical? “All of those combined!” he said, laughing."

ZOMG so there's going to be time travel!

Oh yes I know it! They are making TERMINATOR MMO!

    Is Starcraft 2 not sci-fi?

Genuine question as I don't know anything about it, but it sounds sci-fi to me.
